Good dairy free options available and really friendly staff. They even managed to accommodate us for Sunday lunch without a booking and no notice, which was really appreciated. Highly recommend

Great food and service in atmospheric surroundings. Went for Sunday lunch. The choice of meats and vegetables was excellent and the roast potatoes sublime. The waiting staff were attentive and appeared to 'care'

Great food. We had a Sunday lunch which was very well cooked and the portions are great. Lovely vibe and the staff are all very attentive and give great service. The pub is an old tradition place with an open fire. A shining example of a great British pub. Highly recommended.

I ordered the fish cakes and was disappointed to find that they were both 90% potato. No one came to the table to check if we were happy with our food so I mentioned it when paying the bill. They are home made and apparently usually contain 75% fish so I obviously had an unfortunate batch. However at £13.50 for the dish I think I could have been offered a discount but this wasn’t forthcoming.

Had a delicious meal here walking in having not booked. We both ordered the seabream which was perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Excellent staff and great atmosphere inside the venue.

Really great Sunday lunch. One of the best selection of Sunday lunch vegetables with great tender meat. Venison, beef and lamb all great.Warm and friendly atmosphere. Great wood fire. Allows well behaved dogs.

I enjoyed my food not everyone in the company enjoyed. Fries warm. I said should have complained. Waitress wasn't happy. Service with a smile please and look like you want to be there.Venue very nice and comfortable. Nice to see you welcome dogs.Lovely fire.

My brother had the burger - he rated it 9/10. I had prawns and a salad which was scrummy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We just love sitting outside when it's sunny. There is a piano too. Chop Sticks not allowed 🤣 I would love it if they had a piano afternoon/night. I'd sit and enjoy the music and a favourite gin and tonic. Just love the atmosphere. I take all my international visitors to this pub.
