The Old Stables in Arun

Very disappointing visit.My family and I arrived, were seated, menus given and drinks ordered.When the drinks arrived and we were ready to order, we were informed of an extensive list of items unavailable, including the choices of 2 of our party.As time was getting on, they changed their order to fish finger sandwiches.When the food arrived the sandwiches where appalling. 2 thick slices of bread layered with tartare sauce, and 3 fish goujons that were more batter than fish.If items are unavailable we should have been told on arrival, especially as the menu is far from extensive. To run out of any salad dressing is just embarrassing, especially with 4 supermarkets less than 10 minutes away.I hope this was a 1 off, but I will not be returning.

Booked lunch here for my mum's birthday. Haven't been here in ages. Couldn't book online, there was an issue on this occasion but managed to book using automated phone line & received text confirming details. Had 3 courses even though it was lunchtime. Good selection for all 3 courses. Waiting staff were polite, quick & attentive. Place was a third full & plenty of parking on this occasion (it shares a car park with Travelodge right next door). I can imagine when there are fixtures on at the racecourse that this place gets packed. Nice atmosphere. Had forgotten what a nice garden it has (couldn't use this time as it started to snow, in April!). Lovely food, all 4 of us enjoyed, ranging from main meal to lunch lighter bites (e.g. fish goujon sarnie). Cost roughly £25 a head including 1 drink each & 3 courses. Would go again.

We choose here for our Xmas Dinner on Christmas day. The service was incredible the food amazing and rhe atmosphere excellent. This is the first time we have been to the pub and weren't disappointed. We usually have out Xmas Dinner at the Black Rabbit in Arundel and the Stables was far better all round. We be going next year. Brilliant job, happy Xmas to all the staff

Service is 5 star. One of the most charming pubs I have been into. Very welcoming crowd on the night of my visit. Food is really tasty. I will be back when I am next in that neck of the woods.

Got served by Jodie and she was friendly, funny and such a good server. The food was lovely and the apricot crème brûlee was the best pud I've ever had! Definitely come here 11 out of 10!

Beautiful food, attentive staff, after my graduation today this was exactly what we needed! Thank you for a lovely dining experience. Gutted I don’t live closer, there were so many things I wanted to choose on the menu!

Went there for an evening meal.Great pub/tavern setting and great location to the local Travelodges (Arundel Fontwell and Arundel Fontwell Park)The staff were very nice and friendly and greeted us with a nice smile.There was a wide variety of food and drinks available from burgers to steaks.I ordered a plain burger as well as a Chicken Schnitzel for mainsBoth food items were very nice and appetising .In addition to all the above, there is also a good range of desserts and ordered a banoffee pie which was also nice.I would personally recommend this place due to all I have said above as well as it being good value for money.

Lovely pub. We had a fantastic meal, I had chicken and mushroom pie, wife chose lasagne, we both commented that we would definitely return. Home cooked and delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive, special mention to Grace our waitress.

Great pub with a welcoming atmosphere, nice tables and very comfortable. The steak was delicious. The only issue was the female staff dressed in dirty jeans and the shoes were disgusting.
