We went for a Sunday dinner on the 24th April. It was our first outing with our new dog so we were a bit nervous. No need to be as the staff were fantastic. They were more than happy to have friendly dogs in the pub. We had a drink in the massive garden first to enjoy the last hour of sunshine. The lake next door along with loads of wildlife made for a lovely setting. Inside we sat on the benches and ordered a roast each. Its really hard to find a pub or restaurant that makes a good roast but they have cracked it here. Even near the end of the day it was lovely. I loved the unlimited yorkies and gravy. The prices are good as well. I've attached a photo of the menus. The staff were very kind and has a pot of dog biscuits to make a fuss of the furry customers. Service was brilliant. The pub has lots of old ornaments and kitchen tools everywhere and some very nice and interesting old enamel adverts. If your passing on the a27 then have a look here as I am sure you won't be dissappointed. Thanks guys.

Decent selection of Ales, good selection of hot food. Outdoors catches the sunlight until around 4pm, when the sun hides behind the pub. The cranny to the left of the entrance captures the remaining sunlight and fills with a golden glow. There are goats a little ways down, good folk to consult your runes with.

I was treated to lunch here (by my son in law) on 7 April - my 85th birthday. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming - also accommodating as to my request for smaller portions.A lovely dessert to take home as well as the singing of Happy Birthday were very much appreciated. Many thanks.

Nice looking place but arrived and table not ready. Lady behind bar nice. Got seated and took a while to take order. Food arrived which was ok but then our table must have disappeared off the radar and we became invisible. No more offers of drinks or coffees despite several members of staff passing by us. Eventually gave up as obviously not bothered. Not busy so not an excuse.

Great meal, lovely fresh beer (beautifully kept), good deal at 30% off. This would have been a perfect evening out, if not for an annoying computer game being played by a child, at very audible & irritating volume and at the same time as piped inappropriate pub/restaurant music. The meal, setting, facilities and service however were impeccable.

We received a prompt and warm welcome. The staff were polite, relaxed but attentive. We ordered lunch which arrived quickly, it was perfectly cooked and tasty. This is a great place for lunch, and would recommend.

Faultless. Had a meal with my wife and two boys 8 and 10. They were both given great goodie bags which was unexpected. The food, service, decor, drinks menu and atmosphere was first class.
