Skippers in Ashford

Ordered two large cod and chips, the fish they sent was more like a small portion. I phoned up to enquire if they had sent the wrong size, but just got argued with that this is "the standard large size" (it isn't, I've eaten at three other fish and chip shops in the local area whos large size cod is much larger and more substantial). On top of being miniscule in size there was no substance to the fish. The fish itself was okay, but certainly nothing special. First time I have been left hungry after a large cod and chips takeaway and felt like I have just wasted £20. Definitely won't order again and the worst in the local area I have tried, do yourself a favour and order from one of the others as you will be left hungry.

Ordered large fish and came tiny. Also, the chips were very hard and came like they were cuts rather than full sized chips.

Purchased tonight, Monday 13th of June 2022. Worst chips I’ve had in Ashford. They’re hard as rock and completely inedible. Waste of money. Steer clear and try somewhere else.

Had a meal cod chips brother had rock and chips we eat in .very clean enjoyed the meal very much staff very nice

Not my usual place for fish n chips, but was convenient as we were on babysitting service, place was clean, service with a smile and top notch fish and chips. May have to change my choice of fish n chips supplier

Very nice cod and chips. Fresh cooked so had to wait a bit but worth it. Nice and fresh.

Very friendly, cooked well and fresh from the fryer not left under the heater lights. nice size potions and a tasty piece of fish.

Whitebait, Cod roe and chips all quick and perfect served by cheerful staff and barely any wait. My wife’s cod and chips was superb; light crispy batter, nice flaky cod. Daughter very pleased with battered sausage. We all had more of the excellent chips than we really needed.Definitely where to go in Ashford area for all fish and chip meals.
