Food was pretty good, and waitresses were nice.Manager/landlord bloke was proper miserable.The whole pub needs a decent makeover. The carpet must have been down since 1980.A lovely little village deserves a much, much better pub

Seven of us went here for our Christmas do on Saturday night. Very welcoming and friendly. Food was amazing. They certainly don't skimp on the portions. Very attentive to your needs. Would definitely go back.

Quality Through & Through! This small public house in Appledore offers the same quality and service as you would expect to find in a fine dining restaurant in London. Firstly the service we received from the two young men and the young lady was second to none, in fact any other company reading this, visit and learn! As well as this, the food offered, (with the exception of one item), was of the highest standard and we are already planing on visiting again in January (even though it's a 45 minute drive). The food is fresh, perfectly cooked and of the highest standard.... The lamb pie is to die for! The 'only' small let down out of the three different potato sides we had was the chips, these being very, very greasy (which was a shame)...Every thing else was bloody amazing as well as the New York cheese cake. What really did make it for us though was the service from the two young men and the young lady.... Thank you for a very memorable experience.
