After a very busy stressful day we decided to eat out and being be to the area didn't know where to go. We drove past the Conningbrook and from the outside it looked inviting. Once inside the staff were very friendly and welcoming. When we sat down drinks were bought over quickly and order taken promptly. The food was excellent and well presented. The only draw back it was slightly over priced for what we had. Apart from that excellent.

First time going there for the Carvery, 2pm, it was awful. I had the Nut Roast ,what a Disaster, it was like a Pat'e , no substance. The vegetables were vastly overcooked and only just warm. Meals off the Menu have always been nice but i really cannot recommend the Sunday Carvery

It was my leaving do.We had a lovely time.It was a bit unorganised though. We arrived to a table for four when it should have been for seven. Apparently someone called that afternoon to change it. We didn't, if anyone would it would have been me and I didn't. We got our carvery which we were all ready for. I got given the dregs of the turkey which was gristly and I couldn't eat it. Also the Yorkshire puddings looked lovely but were really dry, like they were stail? Then we ordered puddings and I ordered a drink. The puddings came but one of the Eaton messes had no strawberries on top and my drink never arrived. This is a shame as we have been going there for years for family meals and parties. Never had this issue before.

Booked this venue for family Sunday lunch, lovely surroundings, fantastic friendly staff, the carvery was very tasty and was so good that they have a dog friendly area inside too! Can’t wait to return! Thank you

Such lovely,Friendly and very helpful staff. A big thank you to Becky for accommodating us with a slightly earlier breakfast it was greatly appreciated. The bar had a lovely atmosphere and the food was lovely with plenty on the plate! My dessert was lovely aswell vanilla cheesecake! We stayed in a standard double room but will definitely upgrade next time the furniture and bathroom suite was very worn. The bed was comfortable, shower was powerful, large towels and it was a spacious room on the ground floor but unfortunately we were near fans which kept waking us up all through the night. free car park on site which was secure and also free WiFi. We would stay again and would like to try the Sunday carvery!

Really warm, sincere welcome. Friendly and attentive staff. Made our Cooper welcome too. Delicious lunch of sausage and mash and my husband had the burger and fries. Cooked with care and good flavours.

Lovely venue for our company Christmas away day. We had a conference room with projector set up and tea and coffee, and a delicious meal in the restaurant. The reception team were very helpful and friendly throughout the booking process. Would visit this venue again.

Large group of us went for meal. We were looked after extremely well by the staff. The meals were served at the same time. All were piping hot and well presented. Good value for money

I stayed here on business and used the restaurant in the evening. At first look the hotel does look a little tired, however the room I had was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to sit at a desk. The complementary toiletries were useful, the towels were soft and the bed comfortable. There is also a huge garden area with seating that is great for a dry day.In the restaurant, the menu has a good choice without being too extensive and the food was Cooked to a good standard. What stuck out for me was the staff, they were genuinely friendly and attentive at all times.I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend the restaurant as a good place to eat.
