The County Hotel - J D Wetherspoon in Ashford

This is one of my favourite wetherspoons the food is always nice and the staff are friendly and helpful

Pleasent lunch meal but unfortunately the duty manager was rude. Unfortunately I need my walking to be aided by the use of a stick. O needed to use the disabled toilet, this was on use. So the staff would not need to clean the carpet as I was desperate for a wee, the duty manager was very unhelpful and threw me a filthy look when I advised her that she would need to soil the floor. As we all know the main toilet in weatherspoons is upstairs, not easy when using a stick and no offer of using the staff toilet, BEWARE!!!!?

It's a good place so far as wetherspoons go. The service is quick even when busy and the interior can only really be described as a classic pub.

After a night of tenpin bowling 🎳, we decided to go to town for a celebration meal as it was my daughters birthday 🎂. We received a very warm welcome. Found ourselves a decent table for the numbers. We ordered via the app. Unfortunately this is where things went awry. They mixed the orders up. One of my guests received frozen chips mixed in with the cooked ones.I asked for steak and chips, medium rare, thinking I would get a side salad automatically as is customery, usually. But no!!! Salad is even a chargeable extra. What is this world coming to.

Food is amazing, classy table service, waiters are attentive to food requests not a problem. Gourmet food sensibly priced. Would highly recommend

I saw a lot of reviews saying the staff were rude, put me off a bit, but we went there. I phoned ahead to ask about parking and the person who answered was really helpful.Used the app to order, food and drinks arrived quickly. The server was polite and efficient. A nice visit. Typical Wetherspoons.

Food was ok but they had run out of rossi wine . And we had to chase them up about our drinks . Waited over 15 minutes for it to arrive . Food come first. We use Wetherspoons a lot and this one needs more staff wasn't very busy either .

Cozy pub with some nice seating areas and "booths" for privacy, good value for money as all wetherspoons are, the chicken wings were especially delicious and a very generous portion! The reason it lost 2 stars is the place didn't feel particularly clean and one waitress who served us said she would speak to a manager about something we asked for... she walked away and never returned. Manners cost nothing, customer service is expected !

A busy atmosphere and we all had an enjoyable afternoon. Although the bar was a hive of activity, I don't think that I waited more than a few minutes before I was served with drinks. The bar was open and well staffed, and I ordered the food from the bar with no hassle whatsoever. The County Hotel has an App for ordering food, but if the truth be told I much prefer to order and walk back and forth with the changes to individual meals. The simple task of ordering a start, Steaks or another, Jacket potato/or chips, with a ordering desserts can become a little bit of a juggling act and as enjoyable as an organised trip for 5.The staff are pleasant and relaxed, the atmosphere is enjoyable and relaxed and the food was excellent, it was a very good Saturday afternoon with great food (which I don't think that I have ever said about the J. D. Witherspoon empire. If you want to have a great meal for a great price, then please give it a go, and I would like to know your thoughts. M. W

Almost witnessed a fight here. I say almost, because a fight was brewing (pun intended) but the staff were so good, intervened and called the police. So, four stars for the excellent work keeping their punters safe and committing to excellence, but they lose a star for lacking entertainment.
