The Egerton George in Ashford

This was the first time I had revisited the George for a very long time, more than 10 years and was very pleasantly surprised and delighted with the establishment. It is superb. The staff are welcoming, friendly. The food was reasonably priced well presented and very tasty. Highly recommended. Dog friendly.

Chicken Caesar salad was ok but couldn't find the cheese and there was no croutons in it either and I waited an hour for my salad to be cooked?😟 the girl that served us made us feel like we was a burdened so ate paid and left, Will try again later in the year and hope for better service 😐

Booked Sunday lunch for 3pm for 2,lunch arrived 15.50,meal good but wait too long as pub not even half full.Bit disappointed.

Yesterday we meet up with some friends at lunchtime for the Christmas menu. Food was great, huge portion sizes and outstanding value for money. Had a great, time service was as good as ever too. I would thoroughly recommend it. enjoy and Merry Christmas to all.

Recent new ownership so give it time to improve. Menu not varied enough and way over priced. Had 4 meals there but only one was acceptable. One of my main courses was served in a cereal bowl... 🙄...sausage and mash, bad move! Coffee is bitter. No menu specials available. No special offers for oap's. All hard chair seating, no comfort. Staff very friendly. Another 6 months might improve things but at the moment I don't intend to eat there again until it changes.

Fantastic Halloween evening! Great Hosting, buffet and compant. High recommend for all occasions, the food is always fantastic and not massively expensive. It is a must! So friendly!

Great food, nice atmosphere and good value for money. Good traditional family pub. Highly recommend.

Lunchtime Friday visit. Quiet. Under new owners so still a work in progress i.e. ran out of Coke. Ordered the wraps....which were unbelievably amazing. Wonder what the Sunday roasts are like!? Will return. The mens loos are quirky!!!

Popped In for a bite to eat after walking the dogs. So glad we did, lovely pub, great food and the most wclming staff I have ever met! Will definitely be returning regularly, in fact have already booked the table!

The team at the George went over and above to make our wedding plans go without a hitch! Fantastic food, great accommodation, and a really wonderful environment. Very excited to see the changes unfold over the coming months! Can't wait to come back for a boozy afternoon in the pub garden.
