Had a lovely dinner here friday 4th march. Great starters (more prawns please or use shelled maybe). Steaks were superbly cooked. Local beer selection with some good IPA's. Service was efficient. All in all a very nice evening. Thank you.

Good pub. Nice atmosphere. Great food with cheerful waitress service. Few beers though had to drink Guiness so not all bad. Large car park and large outside eat/drink area for summer.

We’ve been here a few times and always had a lovely meal . Unfortunately I think it’s gone down hill and we will not be returning .Fajitas was not sizzling and only warm , chicken was dry . My wife’s chicken burger although huge was tasteless and Chips was just like dry oven chips . My daughter said her burger was nice although it was a bit dry .Our nacho share plate was lovely and garlic bread and our deserts was nice too .We was asked if everything was ok and we did say about the fajita meal but not being the type of people that complain didn’t feel that we could actually say to the full extent of how disappointed we was . The fajita meal was taken off the final bill and we had a birthday voucher for another free meal . So it is what it is . We just won’t go back .

Another Shepherd Neame clone. Beautiful rafters, nice staff, but i wish there were more free houses. This place actually had the same menu even as the previous Shepherd Neame pub I'd been to! It felt like groundhog day! ☹️

Service was brilliant. Staff lovely and friendly. Food was freshly cooked and huge portions! Relaxed, cozy atmosphere. A great village pub. Would definitely recommend.

It had a reduced menu as a number of items were crossed off.... went to order and discovered that further options weren't available. Nothing more annoying when you have chosen your meal. The cuts of steak were poor quality and the nachos to share were tasteless.Always liked the Swan and dog, hopefully it was an off day but in no rush to return.

We dined here with friends on a Friday night (pre-booked)and what a lovely local pub in Ashford it is.The staff were attentive, friendly and informative on their menu when questioned.Or meal choices did not disappoint. The chilli beef ( not hot) nachos for starters were amazingly tasty and a large portion, enough for two really. The lightly fried brie was nicely crunchy and the cheese melted on the tongue, side salad was fresh. Our mains of 3 belly porks were amazing, laid on a bed of deliciously creamy mash and green cabbage, topped with the wonderful crackling. Our friends agreed who'd chosen the same .I had scampi, chips, fresh salad and homemade slaw which again was very nice.Dessert for 2 people was a chocolate brownie and ice-cream...yum! Didn't need it after the the two courses but was a naughty treat. Sorry no pic, but our friends devoured it quickly and said it was moist and chocolatey and the combination was fantastic. All washed down with various tipples. We'll definitely return. Great pub.

We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime, having made a fairly, last minute booking for a party of 12 plus a dog!On arrival, we all felt that the pub was pretty cold, due to the lack of heating, and we had to sit with our coats on for part of the meal. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The decor was quite traditional.Good choice of menu, especially for a Sunday as so many pubs just do a roast. However, we were one of the furthest tables from the kitchen, consiquently, although the food was flavoursome and cooked well, most of it was fairly cold. It probably would have been better if, instead of 1 waitress bringing our food to the table, they had all chipped in to deliver all the food more quickly.I don't think we would visit again
