The White Hart in Ashford

Had a really lovely evening celebrating my wife’s birthday with a dozen friends and family. The staff were polite and attentive. The food was delicious. And overall we were looked after so, so we’ll. Really pleased and had great feedback from all who were there too!

First time this year I returned for a lovely meal. Very busy, nice atmosphere, pleasant waitress. Only grudge was a couple of dogs would occasionally bark. Don't mind dogs in pubs like through out the day, but when it's evening... Nope. Still if you want a nice meal with your other half, then I would recommend going.

This is a nice pub with nice staff, I used to work here about 10 years ago, although it's all new management now. I came in today for the first time in several years and I can't get over how much worse the burger is than it was 10 years ago. The burger felt more like a fast food/five guys style burger whereas before it was really good! That cheese sauce is not good, just put a piece of cheese on it! Otherwise the pub hasn't changed much and is still nice. Pricey though.

Book ahead! It's easy to do by phone. A very enjoyable experience, with a tiny niggle - the busy waiting staff were very quick with everything, but did give us time to settle and read the menu at the beginning and for dessert, but they were too quick at interjecting when we were talking. Having said that our food was delivered and enjoyed and we'll certainly be going back!

Lovely location, staff, service & importantly food. There is a car park. We booked our evening meal in advance, which was a wise move, it's a thriving restaurant. Would I return? Absolutely!

Great Xmas Eve lunch! Despite fact that COVID had obviously decimated bookings, the service was SO welcoming and friendly, and the food great. Catering to three generations is never easy, but everyone found something they loved. We'll be back soon!

Polite welcome, food was quick to arrive after ordering, and everything was tasty. We both had a Sunday roast. We have had better Sunday roast, but this one is still very good regardless! The service was very quick overall and all the staff were very helpful! Will come back definitely.

The Indulgent Festive Meal was amazing 🤩 We’ve been doing our Xmas gathering here for a number of years and this was the best yet! The burger, fries and beef dripping sauce was delicious, as was the roast turkey. And the chocolate orange bomb for desert was next level! 💥🤯 Loved it.

We chose this pub for a birthday Sunday roast based on its excellent reviews.Unfortunately we didn't have the meal we were expecting. The table we booked wasn't ready until 20 minutes after our booking started, due to the previous booking still being there!The staff offered no apology or solution and we were left perched at the bar for sometime just waiting.The food itself was fine, certainly not spectacular but not horrendous. However the staff continued to be rude and completely unconcerned with customer welfare.We were not offered any drinks at the table and had to go up to the bar to order. Additionally, desert arrived without cutlery and by the time that arrived most of the ice cream dishes had melted. Again no apology or explanation from the staff.Some deserts came with a hot drink, however this never arrived until we went and asked. After eventually consuming our underwhelming melted sweet treats, the waitress promptly just asked if we wanted the bill, before then slapping it down on the table without saying a word or waiting for response.The location and decor in the pub is great, it is just a shame the young staff present on the day we went had no idea about customer service or how to be polite and friendly.We won't be returning based on this experience, there are a number of local pubs who are staffed by competent individuals nearby.

We didn't mean to come here, but were planning on going to a different White Hart. But after over a year of not going anywhere, not only did we manage to book a table at the wrong pub, we also managed to drive to the (same) wrong pub, so ended up here. Deciding to give it a try anyway, we're glad that we did. It's a good pub with plenty of parking, excellent food and very friendly staff.The toppings on their pizza were really good quality, and they did sticky toffee pudding with custard, which can be hard to find. We now have two White Harts on our list of places to go for lunch.
