Very impressed with the service and organisation of the crows nest. Been about 3 or 4 years since my last visit and I wasn't impressed then, so they've definitely improved!Food was alright, its cheap and cheerful and at the price we paid you really can't complain. There were empty plates and full bellies, so you know it wasn't bad!Service was the best part, our waitress was extremely polite and very timely with everything, and we didn't have that awkward 10 minute wait for the bill and paying... would go again!

Arrived slightly early,we were seated straight away though! And drink orders taken and delivered in a few minutesStarters and mains arrived in good time and both were hot and fresh, dessert was yummy too, waitress really good and not overly attentive which can be annoying, a really nice meal, we'll definitely be back soon, well done 😀

Went here for a first meal out for lunch with our newborn. We walked in and was told to stop where we was and wait by the door to be seen. This was said in an abrupt manner and I debated leaving there and then. We headed to the door where we waited for three minutes before realising we clearly wasn't welcome. If it was busy we would of understood but there was one table with people on and at least three staff. Would recommend to avoid if you want any kind of hospitality. A shame to the Beefeater name

First time visit to this place after a long walk at Wendover Woods. Staff were helpful and prompt with service and food. However food wasn’t particularly hot when served which was disappointing as we had 5 hungry kids to feed! The 4 adult meals were not particularly hot either which was disappointing. Prices were reasonable for the food ordered and there was also a huge beer garden and play area to the rear which was very handy for the kids to play in.

Food average, could not cook steak to perfection, asked for rare, got medium to well done. Kids meals very small, the sausages with the sausage and mash did not even taste like sasauges/pork seemed more like chicken, or so cheap that they are not 100% prok. Considering I have been here loads in the past and had great experience, this was a huge let down.I did also attended Christmas dinner here in 2021 and was a disaster! Dinner served with ice cold veg, like they had only been defrosted from the freezer and put onto my plate.

The waitress Carlisle was great. The steak was cooked just how I like it, but was really disappointed in garnishes and the paltry amount of chips served with £20 meal. Used to go regularly, but not impressed this time

Quite disappointed really. Have been here a few times before and usually nice. Service was poor on this occasion. Had to wait so long between courses we were told at 20:55 hrs we couldn't order dessert as "the pudding maker had gone home!!". Couldn't believe it really. Guests were still arriving as we were leaving so hopefully the main course maker hadn't gone home also as the diners would get nothing!

We went to the Crows Nest December 2021 for our Sons Birthday treat and had a wonderful time with good food/service and really enjoyed the Meal.We decided to make a return visit for my Wifes Birthday Yesterday 31/01/2022 a group of 6 and i have to say the meal was awful, we had to send 3 meals back as they were cold, A half chicken meal and 2 Chicken Meals from the 2 Courses for £8.99 and not once did anyone come up and ask how the food was. We were told that they had given us 2 Meals free.My Chicken Meal was around £14 served to me cold. The 2 £8.99 meals were the ones not charged !!!!!!!!!Due to my health issues i have to have everything piping hot in the meat factors and i have had a upset stomach all day today. Will not be returning in a hurry.

I went for my birthday in December, and it was lovely - great food, friendly service, brilliant. We went for my Mum's birthday in January, and we had to send 3 plates back - the meals were lukewarm at best, cold at worst, which seems to be a common occurrence recently judging by other reviews. The least you expect from a meal out is for it to be hot!

Staff were attentive and we were quickly seated for our booked table. The seating was perfectly socially distanced. Our dinner arrived promptly. However, mine was not very hot so I had to ask for it to be warmed up. I could have had a fresh dinner but I hate waste. The food was very nice but think how hot the food is served needs to be reviewed and the plates warmed to help maintain the temperature of the food when it is served.
