We had the most awesome time at the Dinton Hermit celebrating our Wedding in mid March! It was a very spontaneous decision for us to get married and we only had 10 days to plan the whole celebration!! The Dinton Hermit was recommended to us by their sister pub in Oving and it was the best idea - Sophie, Sam, Vas (the chef) and their team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We had the restaurant area all for ourselves, which is a really lovely bright room with lots of windows and access to the terrace. The pub's team helped us to decorate the room, cooperated with our florist to decorate the tables and even added their ownlovely little touch by giving little keyrings and chocolate hearts as presents to all our guests. The bubbly, canapes and our main meal with dessert were all stunning - really lovely food that everyone enjoyed immensely! The service was very attentive throughout. The whole time - from planning to wrapping up - the communication was excellent. Emails were replied to in no time, and the mistakes I made in our food order and guest list (too much in my head at that time!!!) were picked up on and corrected ;-)We cannot recommend the Dinton Hermit highly enough! We're very happy to have found such a perfect venue for our wedding reception! Looking forward to popping back to the pub soon for a drink or meal soon!

We came here last Friday to try the Greek menu, which did not disappoint! We shared some of the tapas dishes to start with, then I had the chicken souvlaki and my partner had the lamb kofta. Everything tasted amazing and was well presented. We loved the look of the desserts but were just too full to be able to have one. We will definitely be returning just for a dessert though! The service was great from a warm welcome, drinks at the bar to start and throughout the meal. They were extremely busy and we did have to wait a little for food but this didn't bother us as the drinks were kept flowing. We will be returning again, thank you for making date night great!

I booked for the Greek Theme lunch for a family of 4. The bar area was completely devoid of atmosphere and welcoming staff, we chose four separate starters, the fried options served first then some 20 minutes later the remaining two starters served. The stuffed vine leaves were cold straight from the tin, the taramasalata had no fish smell or taste and was a disgusting pale mayonnaise and garlic mush. No side plates were supplied despite two requests. We left paying for what we had consumed and didn't wait for the main courses. We was overcharged for two of the starters until I challenged it. Shall I mention the young boy from a wedding party who twice went to the bar asking for his meal. The most frightful dining experience and I would not re visit nor recommend this establishment. My wife and I visit Greece annually and married on Kefalonia so we know a good Greek meal.

Not been yet. Did have a takeaway. It was lush. Sadly had to cancel the booking I did have because of co-effing-vid

Good Starter and Main course, Too many peas in the pie as there where also peas in the side veg and not enough game, But extremely tasty and still worth the price for sure. The Brownie Desert was worth bothering with didn't live up to the description on the menu. The waitresses where very accommodating!I would go again but skip the desert.

Sunday lunch menu ... Good concise menu offering tasty alternatives. Food was flavoursome and timely served by very friendly, efficient staff. Lovely selection of vegetables with roast, probably didn't need the peas tbh, fine with other vegetables. Puddings did not disappoint either.

Great service however the burger was very disappointing. Shame as it was a lovely pub. I'm sure some of the other things on the menu may be better

Menu needs reviewing.I ordered chicken breast dish and for the price I would have expected a sauce and side dishes. But everything was extra! Not just a plain chicken breast. This also applied to our two other orders of venison. The side portions were very small-childsize, especially for the price!. Our other order of fish and chips had six chips, three of which were very hard. Very disappointed! Will not be back.

Really nice and the food was great, lovely building and feels very cosy. Not sure how they got the ketchup to be clear but went well with the chips.

Really very good indeed. Service was pretty exceptional and friendly. Made us welcome, kept us posted about a potential wait and were just spot on all round.Food also very good, but not quite as amazing at the service. Beer and wine selection great. It's ok value, with decent portion sizes.Definitely one to recommended.Just a word to the wise, it's not actually in Dinton, it's in Ford😉👍
