Had a great meal on a busy Friday night. Service was excellent. Thanks so Michaela. U r brilliant.Well the pork belly was so delicious especially with the black pudding mash. Veg cooked perfectly. The sauce/gravey was tasty too.Definitely will go again.

Visited on new years day, managed to book a table in the morning for 8 people. We were skeptical I can confess, being able to boom at short notice. We had nothing to worry about food was extremely tasty, service was spot on, allergies were taken seriously and adjustments made. Thank you. We shall happily return in the near future

I had breakfast and dinner here, food was lovely, staff friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. If I could give 6 stars I would, will definitely visit again.

Lovely piece of cod with a very light batter, tartare sauce was good and seemed made in house, although the cappers and cornichons could have benefited from a bit more chopping. Peas might've been nicer mushed and the chips, while perfectly OK, were clearly from a packet. We both had the child's size portion and it was more than enough for both of us. I had the house white, which while perfectly drinkable, was less than impressive. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the environment was very pleasant and comfortable, but slightly under heated.

Spent an evening here for an early Valentines Day treat and have to say it was lovely. Great food and the room was luxurious, warm and comfy.

Barely any food left on the menu. Settled for bland and inedible fish and chips, that had more batter than fish. Chips fine but nothing special. Took 15 minutes after we finished eating to get the table cleared. Then Didn't offer us desserts. 0/10.

Emilly served us on Saturday night - we could tell that the pub was under staffed but Emilly kept smiling and looked after us very well. The food wasnt as good as we have had before which was a shame but we will return as Emilly made up for the bad food that night.Emilly deserves a bonus!!

We pre-booked here and pre-ordered for a party of 13 including 3 primary aged children and 4 teenagers and a dog. They called us prior to arrival explaining that there had been some delivery issues and therefore we'd haven to re-order our main courses and so began a whole palaver once we sat down. The ordering system was unbelievably complicated as to what meals were on the festive menu and what were on the standard menu. I won't go into all the details suffice to say it took nearly 3 hours for us to get through the whole meal. There seemed an especially unnecessary long time to receive our deserts and with young kids, already tired from the festive season, this was not helpful. It also wasn't especially busy. The food itself was delicious, with sensible portion sizes (although I'd have liked a little more mash with my beef bourguignon to enjoy with the deliciously rich sauce). The staff were also really lovely, helpful, and friendly, with a good sense of humour. But there were also issues with our meals with some items changed without notice or missing altogether. For instance there were no chestnuts with the pork belly and my grapes on my cheeseboard were actually blueberries. The main issues seemed to be with the ordering system they had to work with on the electronic devices along with quite a few items not available. Call me old fashioned but a good old pad of paper and scrapping of the festive menu by just having them as menu items would have made life so less complicated and quicker and less stressful with the kids.In the end it was a complete waste of time pre-ordering and although we had a lovely time overall as an extended family gathering the kids were really struggling towards the end and the whole thing just was far far far too long and slow.

Very easy to find right off the main road with lots of parking as you drive in its a charm, the place is a very welcoming cottage feel as you walk in its warm and cosy with wood fire place with comfortable chairs real cabin feel deco great menu options food was amazing well presented but took a while to come the one disappointment. Would return however and must try the bed and breakfast as the rooms look great.
