Papa Johns in Aylesbury Vale

I’ve had a nightmare experience with the pizza franchises in Aylesbury since I moved here a year ago, and I’d already placed my order at Papa John’s before I realised I should read a few reviews. My experience was actually pretty good, unlike others on here. The best franchise pizza (others I’ve tried are Dominos and Pizza Hut) I’ve ordered in Aylesbury. It arrived hot and in just under an hour (I ordered at 5.40pm). Like others have reported, the tracker did show the pizza as delivered before it actually arrived (a good 20 mins before) but Papa Johns aren’t the only company that does this in Aylesbury. Dominos was much worse…I had to drive to the store and complain as it was over an hour late! Not bad Papa Johns!

Ordered chicken club but it was a different pizza that was delivered. Spoke to shift manager Sayeeda and he had zero sense of customer service, wasn't apologetic and dint care at all.I have seen other reviews too and shocking to know that the head office isn't botheredBad bad bad!!!

Great pizza but gave me really bad food poisoning for 4 days! Obviously isn't a clean kitchen, people or ingredients are not stored properly

We ordered delivery. Website very straightforward and easy to use. The food arrived promptly and was piping hot and very good. The pizzas were really delicious and the sides were tasty. Everything was spot on. Extremely pleased with everything. Will definitely be ordering from Papa Johns again.

Here’s a picture of the BBQ Chicken Classic I ordered through these guys. It was ordered directly through them and not any other courier. The toppings have all slid to one side and it was just a bit of a mess to be honest. Well done.

Waited 85 minutes for a pizza that was delivered stine cold. Ordered 8.56pm via deliveroo and had no confirmation, called Pappa johns to be told they had the order and it was ready for collection at 9.26pm and awaiting driver. Checked emails Still nothing ? Called papa Johns who informed me they've cooked in and it still sat in warm oven for over 45 mins and nothing they could do to chase driver I have to take it up with deliveroo!! Couldnt cancell my order by then as the kitchen was preparing my food even though It was ready and sat in the oven? Called again at 10.20pm and was told the driver finally picked up my pizza over an after it was made. Confronted the driver who showed my he had an order come in at 10.17pm. Both blaming one another!? Resulted in 2 small.pizzs for 36 poumd no.side no drink what a joke. Freezing cold small lizzas for nearly 40.quid. if.you fancy being ripped off and mugged off then use these guys

Good place however they need to stop marking their orders as delivered 15-25min early ahead of actual delivery. Remember customer is king and the tracking system is for the customer and not a tick box exercise!

Pizzas are nice and tasty, and the side's are also quality.As others have said, the toppings could be more on the generous side.Food has always been hot when delivered.The only reason we don't order anymore is price, can get a bit expensive as a treat.There are now a lot of other pizzeria's in town that offer the same for less money.

hi we ordred two large pizza thin crust.when my husband collect pizza he ask again is it thin crust ?? n they say yes .when he vome home open its deep pan.it was really bad service.we trust brand name so didnt checked. also my husband experience very poor customer service.never feel to go again.

Papa Johns has always been a preference for me as I prefer their pizza bases and the variety of toppings. However recent experiences have soured my enjoyment of the brand and I won't be ordering again (at least for a very long time, probably when I move to a new town).Our order yesterday or two pizzas and one side (jalepeno poppers, absolutely wonderful things and the only reason this review has two stars rather than one) took nearly an hour to be delivered to our house, which is a five minute drive from the shops location. Obviously Friday nights are very busy so I can forgive this, but at least an apology would have been nice. When the pizzas arrived, we looked at them with some confusion - we had ordered one large Spicy Italian (tomato base, pepperoni and 'spicy' sausage meatballs - the meatballs were about as spicy as my old flip flop which did make us query whether it was right in the first place, but I'm not sure on the finer points of the menu) and one large Papa Johns favourite (tomato base, pepperoni and sliced Italin sausage). We received two large Spicy Italians. I can see the mistake - both have pepperoni and sausage of some kind, so we phoned the store.Unfortunately the gentleman on the phone took some time to understand that we had received the pizzas (he kept telling us that we couldn't change them as they'd already gone for delivery) but I guess that was because it was busy and he couldn't hear us properly. We could however hear him and the rest of the store quite well, including what must have been the shift leader telling him 'So what?' when he finally understood that we had the wrong pizza. Yes, the guy in charge did not seem bothered that our order was wrong. The gentleman we dealt with had great customer service skills and promised to send us out a new Papa Johns Favourite pizza, and that we could keep the original incorrect pizza.After 40 minutes, the new pizza arrived... I should have checked it at the door, but surprise surprise, it was not a Papa Johns Favourite, but another Spicy Italian. So now I have three large pizzas that I don't like, that will probably go out of date unless my housemate can choke them down before the weekend ends.Oh and did I mention the replacement pizza was overcooked to point of nearly being burnt?Unfortunately this display of terrible customer service is not an isolated incident as in the past we have had to phone the store before and have been met with anger and a simple lack of caring. I'm not sure if the franchise owner is aware that his staff are ruining his reputation or if he is a part of the problem as well but I will never order from this store again and I doubt I'm the only one. They must have had at least one other angry phone call last night because in our original delivery, we also received a third pizza - a thin base with pepperoni and jalepenos on it, which we definitely didn't order (sorry to whoever's pizza we got). It's a shame because the Papa John's Favourite is my favourite pizza that all three main delivery chain's offer.
