My husband and I are regular Indian Asian restaurant goers at least once or twice a week. We are both Vegetarian though not vegan will eat vegan food.We both went for Vegetarian Thali a mixture of authentic dishes served on a platter and chose garlic naan as an accompaniment. The flavours were excellent and complimented each other superbly. The portion sizes were more than adequate and the prices reasonable. It was a Sunday evening and we booked but found only one other table in use when we arrived at 8pm and only one other group came in by the time we left around 9:50pm.We don't like boisterous groups around us but there was absolutely no atmosphere but for us the food made up for it. The drinks costs made up a third of our Seventy pound bill for two people. They will happily adapt a meal to your preference the staff were diligent but appeared tired.I will add it to restaurants worthy of a revisit.

We had great food and friendly service. The paneer jalfrezi was excellent and also enjoyed the onion bajees, sag aloo and brinjal bajee. The waiter was accommodating and helpful.

Great food, had a bit of a wait for our mains but there were 17 of us. Starters and mains were very nice and the staff very friendly and very accomdating. Do a good deal where you get a poppadom, starter, main with rice or naan bread and a drink for Β£13.95. Can't argue with that.

We've eaten at Prince of India on several occasions and been very happy with the food and service however our recent visit wasn't one of their best. The staff looked thoroughly miserable, which could've impacted on our party, the food took what seemed to be a lifetime to appear and was served with the same miserable attitude as earlier which is never a good advert for any restaurant! The door was held open for us on the way out by a member of staff without even a glimmer of a smile and clearly lacking any people skills. All very sad really as the food, when it came eventually, was of their usual high quality. I think it's time to find another restaurant for our staff 'meetings', somewhere that appreciates our custom and who can at least give us a smile!

This is a pretty good Indian restaurant and is certainly the best in the surrounding area. The food was of a high quality and the atmosphere was very nice. This is your typical Indian fare. All the popular dishes are on offer here, along with beers and wines.

Always offering good food and accomodating changes to dishes (and spice heat levels) the prince of India has been our go to Indian for a meal out ever since I was a kid.To be honest the decor has seen better days and is in need of redecorating, but it still has that appeal. On a Sunday with a great lunch banquet offer we tend to go then while the restaurant is quiet too.Worth a visit but please bear in mind the look is a little tired.
