Lovely pub with friendly attentive staff and a beautiful African Grey parrot, there is also an aviary in the garden, unfortunately not currently accessible due to renovation but should be open soon.

Stopped for a much needed lunch and pint after walking round Wiltstone Reservoir. Good straightforward menu and well kept ale.

Popular pub with well -kept beers, always seems to have Tring on, and decent inexpensive pub grub. Large outside area for fine weather

Helped my daughter and her boyfriend negotiate some locks, before we moored up for the night, and decided to have a well deserved drink. An excellent country inn, very welcoming, excellent atmosphere, covered outdoor area ( they even have a sizeable aviary!) Most enjoyable experience

Outstanding. Friendly and helpful staff, great food and beverage. Great location and nice inside, plus family friendly beer garden. Keep up the good work and will return when travel allows.

Great pub complete with aviary. Very friendly. We came for food on a Monday, and they were only serving pizzas. But WOW what pizzas, home cooked with our choice of 5 toppings cooked in a proper pizza oven. Fantastic.
