The Bell Hotel Dining in Aylesbury Vale

They have new owners and I had the worst experience today. They gave me a pizza with two pizza bases and it was raw. I had to return it and asked for a refund. I don’t think that I will ever come back. Also I had to wait for chips for about 30 minutes.

I have re visited the hotel after the take over.The service is very poor, the male toilets look like a bomb site. Toilet roll dispensers on the floor. The sinks were unwashed.The young lady behind the bar was rude and more interested in her phone.

Nice pub. Food is good. Some staff need to work on their customer service. Other was lovely.Had a good time. Good for disabled customers.Can also sit outside when weather is good.

The bell is a warm and friendly and welcoming place to meet family and friends for good meals

Room was lovely, great cleanliness. Very reasonably priced as one would expect.

I used to love going in to the bell, haven’t returned there since COVID year. But it seems they like to dish out bans quicker than bringing your drinks to the table…. Being told you’re banned but isn’t given A CLEAR ANSWER TO WHY!? the staff member likes to bring in personal drama and then wants to single me out because of it, whilst being intoxicated, never been told with a sober mind… I would never play the race card but when you start doing things such as not allowing someone to sit on a bench or even say hello to people standing outside and making it clear that you’re targeting me like that, then I will take it that way. It’s not my job to make you feel better about yourself. Think before you come for someone, especially someone of colour cause your doing more damage than you think…

One night stay for business. Twin room.Easy check-in, room on top floor so a bit of a climb but the room itself was clean with a spacious bathroom and a great shower.Restaurant - As with all Wetherspoon establishments I have frequented the food was great value and our choice included a beer. 2x chicken dinners with sides and a beer for a tenner each. What's not to like?English brekkie for less than £4.I would say the only negative would be the lack of onsite parking but there are lots of public car parks around and I was informed that roadside parking was free after 6.All told had a good experience.

Sat by an open fire with a great cooked breakfast. Happy staff and really comfy environment.

They seem to be struggling with staff, one poor woman was delivering food and must have completed a week's worth of steps in a night! She did it with a smile! Food was great , loved the curry and the other half's steak was a really good piece of meat and cooked well. The staff deserve a medal as we still had a good experience.

Must have had a late and busy night as there were areas not hoovered and some dirty cutlery on the floor.That said, the staff are friendly, courteous and efficient.Food ordered easily and delivered to table without delay.Nicely presented and very tasty - extremely good value.
