Thoroughly enjoyed a pub meal in the open-sided, heated marquee on Friday evening. Publican Stuart & his wife made us really welcome and made sure we were happy with the covid-safe seating location. Their well-trained staff kept an eye on our glasses and asked if we wanted a refill before we had to ask (good business, that!). We went for trad pub fare because we hadn't had scampi & chips for a year but there was a wide menu and very nice sounding specials. All very nicely presented and good service. Very tasty too. Greene King IPA....what's not to like?!

Absolutely delicious roast! We also ordered many roasts for delivery during lockdown and despite the journey the food was still piping hot and brilliant quality! Thank you Stewart and team! We will be back!

Visited a couple of weeks ago with friends for A Sunday Roast, was the first time we'd been out to eat a Sunday Roast since before lockdown, so was a bit worried, but there was absolutely no need Stewart and Dawn had it all under control, was abiding by all the Government rules and made it feel so 'normal' in these strange times - have to applaud them for that! The service could not have been better, staff wearing masks at all times and kept checking if we needed anything more whether that be food or drinks. The food was as I remembered - delicious and plenty of it. Won't hesitate to go back again and soon!

I have never been to the Chandos Arms and cannot therefore comment directly on the food or service. However, I know a lot of people who have been who have always praised it highly. From what I've seen (and heard) the food looks delicious and beautifully presented. My reason for writing is because I read the review complaining about being asked to wear a face mask when entering the premises. Does that customer not know that the current law stipulates that masks must be worn in pubs and restaurants when moving around and entering/leaving? Such people are putting the health and welfare of others at risk. I have every sympathy with the proprietors of the pub in doing their best to ensure the safely of everyone.

Great atmosphere and food. Having served us well by delivering Friday night fish n chips eating in was such a treat. Definitely returning.

The go to place for a fabulous rost ! We have been going to The Chandos Arms since Stewart and Dawn took over. It really comes down to the quality of their produce and their customer service. I've seen them at their busiest and still everything comes out piping hot and delicious and always with hospitality you'd really expect. Covid-19 regs are expected so don't go if you don't want to wear a mask if your bum isn't on a seat but I want to know where I'm eating takes this seriously. Gorgeous food - if you haven't already - go soon !

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. I would definitely recommend the mixed meat roast, 10/10, and all cooked perfectly. I recommend going here if you want a truly fantastic experience 💯

Nipped in for a quick lunch whilst test driving a car locally. Only had a quick sharing platter but impressed with the staff and atmosphere. Would recommend and will definitely visit again for evening meal
