The Crooked Billet in Aylesbury Vale

Lovely pub! I went on a first date here last night and I had a very nice time!The food was great, i'm vegan and my date eats meat but ordered a vegetarian meal (I had the cauliflower steak and he had the bean burger) we both thought each meal was lovely and well presented. Great atmosphere, very cute 😍 staff were friendly and helpful too!Just wish they had vegan desserts! I would have loved to see vegan sticky toffee pudding on the menu 😋

Once again, the pub- restaurant has a new owner, and I love what they have done to the place. Lovely cozy ambiance. Good food, polite... and fast service. A little too fast, actially. Our entire 3 course planned dinner took probably about an hour. We felt rushed. After having our Mains and requested the dessert menu, it seems the chef had told the young bew waitress to inform us that the kitchen had closed for the night. This was 8:25pm on a Friday night. So we didn't get out dessert. There was nothing left but to pay and leave. The whole eating out and relaxing experience wasn't there.Not sure it's a place you want to be booking for dinner; maybe day time meals? The bar's efficient, though.I would still recommend.

Great menu, good quality meal. Family meal out all enjoyed their menu choices. Lovely relaxing pub, gardens were nice. Pleasant staff who are very helpful.

The service was really slow and the waitress kept getting the order wrong. I asked for a drink she gave me the wrong one. Or forgot to bring it out at all. Its not a major issue just a bit annoying. The soup was nice I had a tomato one. The bread with it was also nice.

Lovely country pub, nice big garden and a decent menu.Recently re-opened under new management and although I've been in for drinks a few times, I haven't yet had a meal. I did opt for a cheese board on their opening night and it was lovely but could have done with more cheese (to be fair, I'd always want more cheese!!).A good selection of beers and wines and the staff are all fabulous!

We had a delicious lunch this afternoon 😋 .the food arrived promptly and hot. The bar staff were brilliant and the waiting staff were attentive, polite and helpful. The food was cooked to perfection and the menu had lots of choices, it was also exceptional value for money. If you've been before and were disappointed! Don't give up on the billet! Give the pub another chance and you won't regret it. We can't wait to return and experience the good food and ambience they offer...

I stopped by the Crooked billet with family for a couple of drinks. There's not much to differentiate pubs, except the service ....... 5 stars because the staff were excellent.

THE WORST mushroom risotto meal I have ever had in my entire life! Not only did they bring out a cold one the second attempt was even worse, NO FLAVOUR, NO MUSHROOMS & LIKE PASTE!! Three people in the group did not eat!! Absolutely ruined my 45th birthday family party Gathering. DIDN'T EVEN OFFER A DISCOUNT OFF THE BILL. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! We are now off home to get some food as I’m hungry, disappointed and sad 😢

Beautiful lunch in lovely relaxed country village pub. A station for your four legged friends to have a drink in the beer garden. Complementary refurbishment to the age and local of the pub, with a fair sized off road parking. Will definitely return!
