Fabulous atmosphere, we were in the 'snug' relaxed and not made to feel rushed. Food was both good quality and beautifuly presented. Will be back

Booked to stay here with my wife for valentines weekend. The room was very nice with lots of quality appliances and furniture, lots of space and very comfy bed.We also booked the restaurant and we chose the valentines set menu which was absolutely fantastic everything that came out was amazing we had no complaints and both myself and my wife were more than satisfied. The bar was very well stocked and the server was very friendly and really new her drinks.Overall I would recommend both the hotel and the restaurant 10 out of 10 from us.Oh yeah and the brekkie was great too 👍 👌

Exquisite food, great value for money and great service - really enjoyed our New Year's Eve and family birthday lunch here.Particularly recommended is the locally brewed Shepherds Gold ale, which was also a feature of my beer battered cod. Add to that a delicious starter in wild boar scotch egg and the best fudge I've had in a long long long time to finish - complete with a chocolate 'Happy Birthday' inscribed in gold for the birthday boy on our table - a lovely touch.Other notable highlights from the childrens' menu were most definitely the cheesy garlic bread (which we all sampled and enjoyed), cod and chunky chips and the chocolate brownie.Highlights from the grown ups were gin-smoked salmon (absolutely divine) and terrine as starters - then Hake, Venison and Cottage Pie main course dishes. We've driven past The Five Arrows on our way to Waddesdon Manor so many times. My only regret is that we've never stopped here before.

Just had the most wonderful Christmas lunch at the Five Arrows - always excellent, been going for years. This pic is the Black Forest Trifle - best thing I've ever eaten! Great food, lovely wines, terrific service, good value - all good even in these difficult Covid times. Highly recommended.

I'm really sad to leave only a 3 star. We booked this for my Mums 70th birthday as a treat. The service was terrible. We were left ages with our menus, no explanation on how the teapas worked. We were only able to order another drink when the plates were cleared as nobody came over to our table. We waited over half an hour to get the attention of the staff to ask for the bill. In the end I got up and went to the bar to ask for the bill and paid there. The food was fine, but really disappointing as it was supposed to be a nice Birthday treat for my Mum and it wasn't due to the slow service. Other tables that were drinking lots had much better service so maybe service is dependant on what you are spending or drinking?

Had the most wonderful 3 course meal. All local ingredients, cooked to the highest of standards! Each course had some classic recipes but with a luxury twist.I'm not a dessert fan but this was the star of the show.Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. Will be back again soon :)

We absolutely love this place and feel so comfortable here. The food and service is always top class. Had Afternoon Teapas here today, what a treat and such a good idea so you can pick exactly what you want vs normal Afternoon Teas where you have to have boring sandwiches. Highly recommend!

Simply wonderful! Lovely surroundings with fabulous staff. We went here for lunch to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. From the gentleman who greeted us, to the lovely lady and other gentleman who looked after us, our lunch was perfect. The lovely lady attending to us asked if we were celebrating and we shared it was our anniversary. This resulted in our desserts having Happy Anniversary chocolates added! The food was excellent, each course we had was delicious. (Soup, Cheese Soufflé, Duck, Cottage Pie and Cheese Cake). My dessert of Baked Alaska was THE BEST DESSERT! Heaven on a plate! This was our first time there and we will definitely be back. An absolute gem of a restaurant that we cannot fault. Finally, seeing Maggy was a lovely surprise! Thank you all so much. See you again soon.

We got married here and it was absolutely perfect. We were able to have exclusive use of the hotel which made it really special for us and our guests. Our guests all commented on how beautiful and clean their rooms were. All of the staff were amazing especially those who stayed up until the early hours keeping the alcohol flowing! The food at our wedding breakfast was stunning and a massive thank you to the chefs behind the scenes cooking up a storm. It’s a place that will remain special in our memories forever so thank you very much to everyone here who contributed to that 😃
