Lovely bacon, brie baguette with cheesy, hand cut, chips. No dogs inside though.

The real ale (Wadworth 6X) was in excellent condition and the service was very good. Four of us ate there and three of us thought it was very good. I was slightly disappointed with my Rib Eye steak - it was a bit too fatty for my liking, but then I don't often have this cut.

Great family run local pub. Really enjoyed my time. Matt and Annette were very welcoming and would stay again. Rooms are nice and clean great value for money. Food is great aswel.

Delicious meal, roast beef melted in your mouth it was so tender, vegetables cooked perfectly. Room was a little cold, but service was good.

Had lunch with a group of 6 other people. We all just had a main course, mine was scampi and chips. Food was fine and so was the draught beer. Everybody seemed happy with their choices. Staff and service was Covid secure.

Couldn’t highly recommend The Lion and the staff any more. My father has stayed here now twice whilst coming to the village to see me.The rooms are beautifully done and the food is superb!!If you are planning to come down and see the Waddesdon Manor then make your visit even better by eating here and stay in one of the rooms as you won’t regret it.Thank you to everyone for making my dads visit great 😊
