Lovely hotel room, very quirky and the complimentary drinks in the room were lovely and high quality. A leak in the bathroom meant there was a very wet and cold floor in the morning. Pub was closed when I stayed so can't comment on the pub. Staff member did let me know where else I could dine that night, very polite. I did get a top notch 5* breakfast the next morning, thank you Chef.

The two guys front of house were very helpful and gave great service. Breakfast also very good. However the housekeepers are not having their work checked because the rooms are let down by the cleaning, or lack of. Both rooms we were in were pretty filthy and mirrors had grease marks and hand prints. Really dirty around beds. Dropped something and went to pick up and under the bed was all kind of stuff, including a fiver. Every cloud I suppose.

Absolutely the worst pub ever for a Sunday roast. The beef was awful as there was a ton of fat still there the vegetables were tasteless, potatoes were disgusting. Definitely don't come here there are much much better pubs to go than here.

Charming decor, experienced staff, well kept beers, interesting menu, good breakfasts, comfortable bedrooms and excellent tiered decking with rural views.

Charming country pub (with rooms), set in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside - and with a first class kitchen. My pork belly may the best I’ve eaten. Lunch for four at a very comfortable inside table under the historic beamed ceiling; attentive and warm service. Lovely. David W, Apr ‘22

Stopped off on our travels. Really lovely, understated pub with a warm atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. The food was truly a "a cut above" the usual pub fare. The bonus was it's dog friendly and the proprietor made a fuss of our dog. Must add - I'm coeliac and there were a number of gluten-free options. Thank you!

A welcome original take on fish and chips - no grease, sensible portion size, delicious! A kitchen that knows what it's doing. Incomparable views.

What a wonderful, old, quaint building tucked away with a wonderful view! Friendly staff, a warming real-log fire, and a nice back area complete the venue. The food was absolutely delicious too! The mushroom mousse starter and crispy duck salad were top-notch! Also, the tripple-cooked chips are some of the best to be found in a pub.

Lovely lunch at The Mole & Chicken! Back under new management and seemed much more settled than during the lockdown days. Food was very nice - nothing pretentious and nothing particularly outstanding, but all of the plates were cleared - evidence of very nice pub grub on the upper end of the market. As always the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, friendly staff and gorgeous views. Attached are some pictures of our food as well as the view (on a wet, windy day!) and the restaurant itself. Lovely little dining spot!
