Very upset and disappointed with the Red lion. Stayed for 4 nights over the Bank Holiday...on Saturday evening Ordered a burger to eat which I bit into and disvovdisc it was raw inside I then told the waitress who agreed my burger was raw and NOT pink!!!!!I was ill on the next day with dicknrss and tummy upset..i complained to the hotel Manger who has called me a lier and has been unwilling to accept that a raw Burgur was sent out of the kitchen.. she has been unwilling to resolve this situation.. despite hsvhav every opportunity to do so. She hung up on e on several occasions when I have tried to explain what had happened and how we can resolve it.I would definitely not ever recommend the Red lion to anyone again due to the treatment of my complaint by Management at the hotel.

Excellent meal, steak burger and homemade pizza. Value for money and friendly staff. Third time visiting would certainly go again.

The buffet was tasty and quite varied however when booking we forgot to mention allergies and some of our party could not eat it.

Superb Sunday lunch lovely atmosphere.

Lovely cosy place, food was tasty and didn't take too long on a Sunday afternoon, if you do want to go at the weekend I'd book as there is less seating that we thought. Friendly staff and parking on site

The food is very good and home cooked. The drinks are good as well. Not a huge choice of real ales but it's ok and the staff are friendly.

Fabulous pub, went there last night for meal for one..!Lovely welcoming atmosphere, football and log fire. I had the pie of the day, which was duck with home made pastry and a bowl of lovely steamed vegetables.Everything was absolutely perfect..... Thankyou :-)

Excellent pub grub in a friendly environment. Historic pub well worth a visit. Steak and ale pie to die for. bacon chicken salad with Brie croutons very good indeed as was ploughmans.
