Welcomed by smiling staff member, seated immediately, drinks ordered and delivered within minutes....Broad choice of food, which was brought to our table in an acceptable timeframe.Every member of staff was attentive but not pushy, happy to discuss options and so on, never felt rushed or pressured.All food was of excellent quality, hot and freshly cooked.....We will certainly visit again.

Country pub classics and hearty meals. Lovely Sunday roast, gets busy though, best to book. Good service and friendly staff. Close by to College lake for a lovely walk afterwards.

One very happy customer one turkey Sunday roast finishes inhaled!! Thank you to the chef it was delicious and thank you to the beautiful tia who served us and even helped when I knocked over my drink causing a storm Eunice inside the pub!!! Go travellers get down if you can!!!!

We hadn't been for a long time. Really enjoyed the lunch. We were sat promptly, food was excellent. Servers friendly. Will be back again very soon. Thank you

Lovely pub in a great location. Unfortunately as it's so far out of town that the prices are steep. However the staff are friendly. Stopped here for 2 pints which cost £10. Menu was expensive as well.

Don't get the roast. It's super dry and has no gravy. The service and atmosphere here is 5* and the drinks are lovely

Had Christmas lunch here today and it was fantastic! Huge portions and it all tasted delicious. I even got a Christmas card whe we paid, service was impeccable and atmosphere was lovely too.

I was very impressed with The Travellers Rest pub as it had about four choices of vegan food. I had a "Beyond Burger" which is a plant based burger that tastes just like meat. This is the way to go if we want to cut climate emissions. Unfortunately the salad was very limp and quite old though the sauce that came with the chips was delicious.

Amazing food. Lovely Atmosphere and very friendly service. Very impressed with the food presentation as well. Already recommended to my friends and family and will definitely make another visit soon

Came out with my little family. We don’t eat out very often as my anxiety over my son’s allergies always gets the better of me. But because it was my birthday I was egged on abit by the children and hubby of course. We booked a table online before we left which was nice and simple to do. When we arrived we were welcomed with a smiley host who sat us to our table. I explained about my son having allergies and I was made assured that everything would be fine and that kitchen staff would be made aware. Our server couldn’t of been more helpful, with recommendations on the menu and of course food my son wouldn’t be allowed to have. Food came out lovely and hot and went down very well, and my children felt really grown up having their own gravy boat and pizza cutter. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Puddings also very tasty. We all left with full belly’s We will definitely be coming back for a meal here. THANK YOU for looking after us. ❤️
