Small but cosy local pub with friendly manager and staff. We had a nice Sunday roast there.

I booked a table for Sunday Lunch for a family get-together and the food was delicious as well as being a good portion size without being obsessively large. I had the roast beef, which was from the village and it was tender and soft. The Yorkshire was perhaps slightly over done but were still delicious as they are made on site. I will come back again to try their delicious menu, wish I had room for dessert as the Strawberry crumble looked devine.Returned in 2022 for another roast which was delicious followed by a rum & chocolate cake

Stopped for lunch whilst out on a cycle. Great garden, very friendly staff and tasty food. The Cajun chicken burger was particularly tasty.

Lovely dog friendly pub with excellent food in nice surroundings with a welcoming patron. Would definitely visit again!

Fantastic food, lovely staff and a very friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend this pub for so many reasons. Sunday roast was excellent.

An rare treat with my better half and dog as I’d sulked we hadn’t been out for months! So our local seemed ideal choice for a late Sunday lunch.( Living in the village we appreciate having a great pub on our doorstep but like many others time gets the better of us and don’t get to eat here as often as we’d like too)Today we were welcome by nice lady at bar and where shown to a table for two. There were a few people in and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We ordered our drinks & they came with the menu. I ordered the Traditional Roast Beef Sunday lunch ( I asked for extra carrots instead of red cabbage) and Hubby had Mac’n’Cheese with Pulled Pork. Dog looked on adoringly!!Food came piping hot - it was absolutely delicious. The beef was so tender and carrots where just perfect and homemade Yorkshire Puds .. Roast Potatoes, greens and delicious gravy. It didn’t need anything adding to it - perfection ! My husband ( who’s not a fan of a Roast) really enjoyed his meal and there was plenty of it.We sat and enjoyed that full of food feeling and ordered more drinks . So nice not to be rushed yet when we were ready we ordered our desserts.Home made Rum & Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream for me and Pecan Tart & fresh cream for him. Have to say the Cake was exceptional ( I consider myself a cake tasting expert ) Delicious, Moist, flavoursome, just yum! And I tried some of the pastry of the tart - reminded me of my Nanna’s proper home baking. Delicious again .We had such a lovely time, enjoying great food in a beautiful place . We were happy and so was the dog ! Just need to walk off that cake !Bravo Sean, Seb and Team at The Village Swan.

We dropped in here during our camping holiday at Town Farm Campsite, and we were so impressed we returned again on our last day for lunch! It's a true gem of a warm, friendly local pub. Awesome team, lovely setting, fabulous service and absolutely gorgeous food. Their burgers are out of this world ❤️❤️❤️

We were camping at the nearby Town Farm and were lucky enough to find this gem. They managed to accommodate 24 of us for a three course meal and we enjoyed it so much we returned the following day for Sunday lunch too! Great service, nothing was too much trouble. Food was quick, good value and absolutely delicious. Really amazing flavours and lovely presentation too. All the meat is locally sourced and they are sustainable too.. great beers on tap and parking on site. Family and dog friendly! Huge thanks to Sean and the team HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Sunday lunch for father's Day. Good was spot on as was the service. The roast was perfect for the overcast summer weather and the lemon posset absolutely delicious. We will be back again soon!

Great food (the fish and chips were superb!), very helpful and friendly food and a small but good selection of wine, beer and cider. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it! There's a lovely big back garden but if it's a bit chilly the covered area near the door has outdoor heaters.
