Myself & friend visited for some food prior to our walk / camp in the local area. The staff were fantastic & the pizza was honestly the best I’ve had in the UK. Proper little gem of a place & will definitely return!

Great pub for lunch. 3 of us came for lunch today and did the annoying thing of ordering / paying separately. Clear communication between front of house and the kitchen meant that our meals all came out very quickly and at the same time. Very nice, well cooked, homemade food and friendly staff. Im yet to have a bad meal here.

Great to have a castle beer again. Anything South African related is worth going too. The Pork belly and ribs to die for.

Delighted to pop in & also to meet the landlord as well as chat Biltong. Make this a destination if you are nearby. A proper village Inn.

Just popped in for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. Lovely food, great atmosphere and very nice staff.

Visited on a Thursday evening. Group of four. Very warm and friendly. Good choice of beers, spirits and gins. Friendly staff. Amazing burgers especially the pork belly burger. The chocolate brownie is highly recommended for dessert. Will definitely visit again.

Staff has always been friendly & smiling whenever we visited. Good quality food, the ribs were well cooked and the beef burger was juicy. Dogs welcome, which is a bonus for us and there were access to water bowls.

This place is such a find, the food is fantastic! Plenty of Pizzas and burgers to choose from and the waffles are amazing. Saw that they are doing fish and chips on a Wednesday, will definitely pay them another visit. Kelly was also a great host, thank you for a lovely meal.

We were bike packing through the chiltern hills and decided to stop here for a late lunch on a Saturday. The food was so delicious. I had the halloumi burger and it was great. Homemade relish, healthy portion of halloumi and the burger bun stole the show for me. It was so fluffy and light - also homemade! The skin on fries were crispy and tasty.Best part of my visit was the service though, the two lovely people who served us were friendly, helpful and just so pleasant. I’ll be coming back! Oh and they do Guinness!
