What a lovely evening. Not only was the food exceptional, but our lovely server Kate was a dream! The cocktails made by William on the bar were incredible, if only I wasn’t driving. Thank you for a wonderful night. I’ll definitely be back…

What a beautiful experience. It was my first time dining at The Woolpack. The pub has recently gone through a refurbishment. And what a beautiful but homely feel to it. It's a lot spacious than I had imagined. The decor is amazing. The fireplace at the front and middle is spectacular. A great focal point for diners. The waiting staff friendly and professional. The service was a little slow but my food came out in good time (that is the main thing as I was hungry). Dessert was the highlight. Apple and blackberry crumble with vegan custard and ice cream. As well as a Salted Caramel Billionaire shortcake with vegan ice cream. The portion size was manageable. I left feeling completely satisfied. The only grumble I would make and this is a personal preference, the heating wasn't on. I like feeling warm.To all my VEGANS, don't forget to ask for the vegan menu. They won't give you one unless you request it. Their menu has some tasty dishes. The Coconut Curry 😋.If you are looking for that country pub feel with good food, The Woolpack is your spot. As a historical building, there is so much to know about it. The waiter told me, the building is older than USA, amazing.Overall, good value, good food, exceptional customer service and good atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

Cracking Sunday lunch! Went with some friends towards the end of January. Very good service and friendly servers. Have the Tri Meat Roast! Only issue was a split coffee which was taken off the bill. Shall be back soon :)

Food was not up to past standards and very slow service on a busy Friday night. Visited for my birthday on 28 Jan with five of my family. Stuck by a door, away from the main restaurant niggled me a little but it was getting the main course (Steak) really late and it being overcooked and bland that niggled me the most. After speaking to a waiter it was revealed they had agency chefs covering. It will take a lot of convincing to dine there again.

This was a nice place to come for New Years Day. The food was tasty overall and it was well presented. The staff were generally pleasant too. Unfortunately it took an age for the main to arrive, and there wasn’t any apology for this. That being said, I appreciate we went on New Years Day and that lots of people are having to isolate at the moment because of the pandemic, which could explain it.The fish was a little cold with not many chips. I also felt the set menu was slightly overpriced, but only by a few pounds. We also had to ask for tap water more than once. The friends I was with all really enjoyed their food and had no complaints. The desserts and starters were a hit too.The place had a nice atmosphere and it was clean and comfortable. It wasn’t too noisy, and I had a good time. I’d likely come back here.

A very pleasant setting however we did have a long wait for our food when probably the waiter should have told us it would take 40 minutes so we could have chosen something quicker if we wanted to. The food was very good and the manager handled our complaint about the wait very well. I would definitely go back and recommend highly.

Warm welcome and warm pub, we only dropped in for a quick drink. Lots of car parking space, very clean and well maintained. The heating was on but don't sit by the door as the draft will get you.

I went to Woolpack Stoke Mandeville for a festive lunch with friends. We chose the pub based on the festive menu. The tables all had a Christmas cracker which was a fun touch, the atmosphere was great, the staff and the service were wonderful and the food was delicious... I personally really enjoyed the yummy mince pie creme brulé.
