The restaurant was very busy as it was Father's Day. We were greeted and shown to our table and ordered drinks soon after. The waitresses assigned to our table were great. The only negative I have is that when food was brought out it was hurriedly put down on our table by another person and they then rushed off without offering condiments to accompany our steaks or steak knives. We had to call someone back to the table twice before we could start eating and the parsley butter was also missing off some of the steaks and they had to return to the kitchen to get some. The saying "less haste, more speed" comes to mind. The food was well prepared and presented and we enjoyed all courses. Ruben the assistant manager greeted us with warmth as usual.

Really nice looking pub. Recently renovated so really looks the part.Great selection of drinks and food. Sadly priced a little too high based on the food quality (and quite pricey for drinks too), but a good place for an occasion.

Enjoyed a lovely late lunch on Good Friday, outside in the sunshine. The team was welcoming, friendly and professional. The food was delicious. ☺️

This is now our favourite local place to eat. We were all very happy with our various choices, with an impressive selection of vegan options, but mine was a perfectly cooked chicken, beautifully tender with a delicious jus. But what made it especially enjoyable was the warm and welcoming response by the entire front of house.

What a beautiful experience. It was my first time dining at The Woolpack. The pub has recently gone through a refurbishment. And what a beautiful but homely feel to it. It's a lot spacious than I had imagined. The decor is amazing. The fireplace at the front and middle is spectacular. A great focal point for diners. The waiting staff friendly and professional. The service was a little slow but my food came out in good time (that is the main thing as I was hungry). Dessert was the highlight. Apple and blackberry crumble with vegan custard and ice cream. As well as a Salted Caramel Billionaire shortcake with vegan ice cream. The portion size was manageable. I left feeling completely satisfied. The only grumble I would make and this is a personal preference, the heating wasn't on. I like feeling warm.To all my VEGANS, don't forget to ask for the vegan menu. They won't give you one unless you request it. Their menu has some tasty dishes. The Coconut Curry 😋.If you are looking for that country pub feel with good food, The Woolpack is your spot. As a historical building, there is so much to know about it. The waiter told me, the building is older than USA, amazing.Overall, good value, good food, exceptional customer service and good atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

What a lovely evening. Not only was the food exceptional, but our lovely server Kate was a dream! The cocktails made by William on the bar were incredible, if only I wasn’t driving. Thank you for a wonderful night. I’ll definitely be back…

Cracking Sunday lunch! Went with some friends towards the end of January. Very good service and friendly servers. Have the Tri Meat Roast! Only issue was a split coffee which was taken off the bill. Shall be back soon :)

This was a nice place to come for New Years Day. The food was tasty overall and it was well presented. The staff were generally pleasant too. Unfortunately it took an age for the main to arrive, and there wasn’t any apology for this. That being said, I appreciate we went on New Years Day and that lots of people are having to isolate at the moment because of the pandemic, which could explain it.The fish was a little cold with not many chips. I also felt the set menu was slightly overpriced, but only by a few pounds. We also had to ask for tap water more than once. The friends I was with all really enjoyed their food and had no complaints. The desserts and starters were a hit too.The place had a nice atmosphere and it was clean and comfortable. It wasn’t too noisy, and I had a good time. I’d likely come back here.

I went to Woolpack Stoke Mandeville for a festive lunch with friends. We chose the pub based on the festive menu. The tables all had a Christmas cracker which was a fun touch, the atmosphere was great, the staff and the service were wonderful and the food was delicious... I personally really enjoyed the yummy mince pie creme brulé.
