Hotel was very attractive and really nice staff, we stayed for 2 nights, but they didn't come and clean the room or replenish the tea, coffee etc, which I was surprised at, at such a quality hotel. The breakfast were very good lots of choice however we ordered room service one evening and this was extremely disappointing, the worst chips if I can call them that I've ever had, the burger wasn't to great either.

only went there to join my son and his family for an evening meal. they were the only guests staying at the hotel. There was a children's birthday party being held in a function room. we had a superb attentive waiter. food was haute cuisine. menu not too varied. vegetarians catered for. enjoyable evening in comfortable and spacious surroundings due to lack of guests.

We stayed here for a night and diner in the hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious but facilities and service did not meet our expectations. The hotel would probably rate as 3 or 4 stars but the dinner was quite a letdown. The food itself is tasty and the menu is somewhat special however as others commented the portion size is too small even for a supposed fine dining establishment (which honestly this doesn't qualify as with the dated tables and chairs and cheap cutlery). The "duo of chicken" main comprises half a chicken breast and left me wondering who had gotten the rest of my food. Left hungry after a three course meal which is just not acceptable.

Lots to like but on a cold Friday lunchtime in January it lacks a bit of atmosphere and charm. The building is beautiful and layout inside is nice - open real fires. The food was ok - I enjoyed a rather sophisticated Fish & Chips. Tasty and well done. Lunch for two - no booze (Dry January!!) about £50. Overall a good but not great place. But sure it’s better on a warmer brighter day.

Decided to spoil ourselves by booking their Christmas package this year and we’re glad that we did. Staff were friendly and welcoming, food portion size was generous. Overall a lovely stay.

We stayed at Audleys Wood Christmas Eve and Christmas day. The staff were exceptional and delivered outstanding customer service, especially Anne who initially greeted us and our dog. Anne made us feel so comfortable, she could not have been more attentive, the most accommodating member of staff within a hotel, I've ever come across! We had a 'dog room', I didn't have high expectations, but wow. Room was spacious and clean, attention to detail excellent, in our room we were spoilt with dog bed, bowl, dog treats (lots of). Superb wine. Water, toiletries, fresh warm towels, robes, slippers and not to mention the personalised messages to welcome us and our dog!We had the Christmas package, plenty of food and of good quality. Nice big portions so we weren't hungry! Still very full. The hotel itself is quaint and peaceful, beautiful grounds.Highly recommend Audleys wood and we will defintley be returning.

My partner and I had an excellent stay at Audleys Wood this weekend. The team members added some lovely and thoughtful touches to our room on arrival as we were celebrating our anniversary. The team were friendly and attentive, particularly Kai on reception who was a real pleasure to deal with. We ate in the restaurant and my fillet of beef was to die for. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights as we were guests at a wedding held at the hotel. It is everything you could expect of a Country House type hotel. The building is full of character. The bedrooms are clean, a good size with a comfortable bed & all the facilities you could need.Breakfasts were plentiful & well cooked with quality ingredients. My natural smoked haddock with poached eggs was superb!!The question is, would we come here again a resounding YES.Friendly & helpful staff. Brilliant.

Incredible experience from all the staff here from first point of contact until the moment you leave (and even after!) We hosted our wedding at Audleys Wood and we were exceptionally well looked after, every single person we have dealt with over the last 2 years has been fantastic. Special thanks to Neal and the events team for all of your hard work and support. Would highly recommend!
