Lamb and mint pie is delicious. Nice rooms. Would stay again

Lovley place. Views accross the fields are lovley. We visited during covid times and they were really busy and short staffed, this didnt mean they were not freindly though, but you could see they were short staffed and everyone was working really hard. They were running out of food as well, so must be popular. We got well cooked oven chips on our evening meal, but the breakfast was amazing !!!

Under new management and wow what a nice vibe, polite and professional and I’ve noticed since the last owner the place has changed positive attitude and great manners would recommend to anyone wanting a night stay or even lunch or dinner great food great chef and a great garden, play area for kids amazing and heated pods in the garden roll on summer this is my new pub to visit, thanks Scott and Sadie from Ascot 👌👌 keep it up

Pleasent enough restaurant. Value for money pushes it towards to over priced side. Service charges added on to each person in the group, which I despise. If I feel you deserve a tip then I will give one. Otherwise you don't get one as improvement is needed.

It was a bit more than I would normally be happy paying for a Sunday Roast but it was an amazing meal that will be remembered. I would be happy to return.

Wonderful staff, couldn't compliment them enough. Sunday Roast was pretty average and very expensive. Settling is lovely.

We had a fantastic stay here, super dog friendly, food was delicious, rooms were perfect. We loved the little extra touches, like dog treats and bed in the room along with sausages for the dog at breakfast time. Both humans and dog had a wonderful time!

Very nicely furnished pub/restaurant. Staff were really pleased and very good food. Food was slightly expensive, but you're paying for a pub which is probably high sort after being within the commuter range of London. Don't go on a day where it's going to be heavy rain the pub ends up with a moat around it with a small path to the car park.

Brilliant food for mains and starters but poor service! One young lady seemed to be very unwelcoming in her tone and wasn't very sure of things. (However a tall young man served us not long after and was brilliant).Staging of time between starters and mains was perfect however we waited 40 mins to be asked about our desert choices and nobody ever came back! So unfortunately we went to the bar and asked for the bill. It's a shame as it's a lovely venue and does good food!

I booked a table here for Sunday lunch. Had checked the website out first and booked on there. We were shown to our table and given a menu, first surprise is the £21 cost for s roast dinner, which is on the website for £18. We gave our drinks order and asked for a few minutes to choose our food. We were kept waiting for nearly 25 minutes with other tables round us being seated and food brought out to them with no member of staff acknowledging us despite try to get their attention. Finally the young lady waiting our table returned and ask for our order, to which I responded by saying we wouldn't be staying because of the wait. She replied that I was to follow her to the bar to settle for our drinks. My partner tried to explain to her why we where leaving, to the response of "okay fine". No apologies at any point. First visit and the last.
