It is a lovely pub with great food! Rooms are as expected, staff is helpful and very friedly. Loved our stay and recommend any dish the chef is offering! Superb staff and local guests. Would check in again! Can recommend. What a great stay!

Nice Pub, great food and drinks, cosy rooms. Both owners and staff are very friendly and engaged. If you're going to Highclere Castle (5 min by car) or Newbury (10 min by car) or just want to hike the beautiful countryside of Burghclere, I highly recommend you stay at the Carpenters Arms.

Wow! What a fantastic place! We stayed here due to work! We arrived extremely late due to issues we had on the way! Very friendly on arrival! My room was absolutely stunning, I had the best night sleep I've had in a long time! Breakfast the next morning full English was just well! Nothing short of perfect! Thanks guys

We stayed over for a few days walking Watership Down, Wayfarers Way, Brenda Parker Way, Beacon Hill etc. Beautiful trails from the door. The accommodation is really nice and amazing value for money. The vegetarian food was spectacular and very reasonably priced. The freshly cooked to order breakfasts were really nice and the icing on the cake was the perfect coffee. We'll be back, thanks very much to the new owners and staff.

Great pub, great food, great rooms, staff and locals impeccable, just booked my second stay, great value for money, I would recommend this place for either long or short stay, fine dining at its best.

Great family and dog friendly pub. Food is not the cheapest but is superb quality. Have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Have great indoor and covered outdoor eating spaces. The pizza oven is an impressive feature and looking forward to sampling at the next opportunity.

Stayed here for one night to break up a long journey. The pub seemed very well decorated and the staff were friendly. The room was well presented and had all of the facilities you would expect, such as free wifi, TV, decent shower etc. Can't fault it in any way, plenty of parking and a generally pleasant place to stay in a picturesque, quiet location.

Great little find for somewhere to stay! Had a lovely little annex in the lovely cottage next door. although the double doors into the room could do with some attention.. the room was lovely with an array of teas, chocolate & coffee. Staff were great & very helpful.

Food excellent and service . Charged for two courses and only had one due to having stomach cancer small meals necessary. Still gave service charge. Lovely place but not all people can mange two courses.
