Chennai Express in Basingstoke and Deane

Honestly the best meal I've had in Basingstoke, admittedly not a lot to compare to. Years of Indian food all over the world and this has to rank as the best without fail. Wonderful service from Anthony tonight as well, couldn't do enough but didn't intrude at all. We'll be back very soon.

2nd visit update. Even better this time. Such an amazing meal.Amazing food. What a find. Everything was super tasty and was super fresh. Service pace was relaxed but everything came out perfectly and was delicious. Cannot wait to go again.

Our 4th visit to this amazingly charismatic restaurant, very different Indian food but oh boy is it fabulous, the poppadoms with the topping are amazing, so flavourful. The manager is so friendly & takes the time to chat which makes a nice change. The wine is delicious. The table next to the bar is recommended 😁. This is our new favourite place to relax & enjoy a perfect evening.

Divine Indian food - we ordered a mix of street food, some paneer curry and fish wrapped in banana leaf. We absolutely enjoyed our food and filter coffee.As a bonus the staff here are friendly and kept checking on us from time to time, which was great too.

Very welcoming staffs.Went during a busy shift, food was prepared quite fast.Butter chicken with plain Dosa was amazing, and the Dhai Puri was very flavorful would highly recommend.Watch out for the price as it does stack up and the portion of Dhai Puri is very small

Ate here last night and all I can say is wow! Living in Manchester, we are used to very different Indian meals when eating out. Sorry we didn't take any pics, we were too busy devouring the delicious food....what a pity it would be a 4.5 hour drive in order to visit here again:(

First time here and it was excellent. Beautiful South Indian cuisine cooked fresh, excellent service, very friendly and the food was delicious. Best chicken curry i had for a long time and my vegan friend was in heaven too!

This place was such a fantastic find. The seafood platter was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully spiced. Everything about the meal was perfect from start to finish. Service was excellent too, polite, helpful and the little touches like them coming round to refill water glasses and check if we wanted anything else was much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Impromptu stop enroute to London. Just awesome south indian menu! The size of the dosas will blow you away in a nice way. Very courteous staff and chef. More importantly authentic south indian dosa, idli and vadas..hot fluffy sumptuous and you will be floating :)
