Its good value for a all you can eat breakfast at £9 including refill tea, coffee, juice etc.the food is good, nice bacon and sausages. The eggs are always overcooked in a very sorry looking state and when I ordered 2 x runny poached it took 3 attempts to almost get rite.staff are very friendlyI would go here again.

Absolutely brilliant place to eat. Been here countless times over the last few years and I've never had a bad experience ever. Staff are friendly and always on hand if you need anything. Food comes out quick and is delicious.

Brilliant all you can eat breakfast - £9.50 per adult and free for under 16s. Hot delicious English buffet including black pudding - yum! Great selection of other breakfast including cereal, toast, muffins, croissant etc. Unlimited juice and coffee - no need to ask waiting staff, help yourself. Friendly greeting and nice and clean. Would definitely visit again!

What a lovely day, lovely food and drink. Table 14 which was in a prime position. What made the day even better we had the best waiter. John he was amazing, his personality was great.Speaking to the Kids directly about things that they would be interested in.

Lovely friendly staff. They had a hard day of it, as the tills went down earlier that day but all the staff were still smiling and even had banter with us. Made the night better. Food was lovely, although I won't have the crumble again though, as its oats not proper crumble but other than that all the food was lush! Defo go again

Visited my parents and we went to the Spruce Goose for lunch. Excellent service, didn't have to wait long for our food. 4 empty plates...lovely food. Decor looking a tad tired but if the food and service is good then that's all that matters.

Its OK, relatively cheap and cheerful, good service and ok pub grub but hoo boy its in need of a deep clean and renovation.I went with a friend of mine wanting a cheap and easy lunch. Walking in, it gives a classic feel of a beefeater / harvester. Its quite dark in there, with decor that needs a update. It took over a minute to be greeted and sent to the table. As always with these places I'm always initially offered the crappiest table, but I asked if we could be seated in a comfy booth and our waitress kindly obliged. There was a few old timers in there at 1pm Monday afternoon, but it was probably 10% full.Service was good, prompt taking of our drink order and perfect timing of order taking and lunch being served. I had a surf and turf for over £20 and it was pretty average, I would say overpriced, but it was certainly edible. Steak was cooked medium rare how I like it but they should of trimmed the fat off as it wasnt nice all grisly and tough. The 2 king prawns were excellent, but the calamari was a bit over fried and greasy. The triple cooked chips were standard frozen McCains Home Fries style - why proper chips cut from fresh potatoes are never sold at these places I dont really understand. Presentation of the food was nice with a bit of salad garnish and garlic mayo. However, the cleanliness of the place was not good. It felt dirty and unkept with wallpaper stained and peeling off the ceiling. The front doors glass was smeary and fingerprinted all over. Carpets seemed filthy and dirt and grime was everywhere, even on the ramekins that they serve ketchup and mayo in, yuck! It is in need over a deep clean and better cleaning regime to encourage people like me to return.I guess if I was a travelling salesman and had a stopover in the Premier Inn next door I'd take a english breakfast in there, but as for choosing to go there, it really needs to be renovated and relaunched. The Harvester down the road is better place to eat for the same price and I know its bit more pricey but Miller and Carters is in another league compared to this Beefeater.

Service was fantastic. A lovely waiter who was so nice and efficient. Top marks. Food was, at best, average. The chocolate brownie was really disappointing. And it felt quite grubby, everything a little sticky and like it needed a good proper clean. And quite expensive too.

Not a good experience. My wife is diary intolerant so was confined to choosing the £11.99 house salad with Chicken.Tenderstem broccoli, sliced advocado, tomato, red onion and rocket. Tossed with french dressing and served on a bed of mixed grains.Originaly the salad had very little of the above including no advocado. This was quickly resolved and returned as in the photo. Clearly the chef thought this was acceptable but the manager didn't. Suitably embarressed he removed the cost. But the damage was done. Wouldn't return or recommend.
