Fries Guys in Basingstoke and Deane

Visited on 29th June 2022. Clean workspace and eating areas. Polite and friendly staff. Fantastic tasting food!

Moist enough burgers. I've had sub-par burgers from Five guys in reading before but I found Basingstoke far more delightful. I also got a delicious oreo milkshake. Shame the paper straws did a shoddy attempt at letting me sip it from the cup. Cagaun spiced fries were solid. Overall, it was quite pricey and I'm not sure it's very good value. Eh, swings and roundabouts.

As with other reviewers we felt the food was VERY good, but REALLY expensive. SILLY expensive. The milkshakes are £5.00??? (you can put in 'add ins' as many as you like, but if you don't get ANY add in's the milkshake is STILL £5.00!!) Chips serving large - was actually quite small. Though of good quality!! I fear whoever made this menu is all about making money and not really caring for their customers. The staff - all very young teens imo. They deserve a good start! And I think that it's great they're working!! That's not easy!! But they need better overall management in there tbh. Semi-clean, fairly fast service. Decent but very over priced food. (Chips and shake very good! But really expensive!!) DESPITE that.. we will probably go back! LOL (Thanks Five Guys! But please, my gosh, corporate needs to adjust those prices!!)

The burgers here are great. Just a shame it's impossible to get what you ordered here! 2/3 burgers were made with missing/random toppings. Then the replacements were wrong too! Mistakes happen, but this ain't rocket science. Will avoid in future.

Thoroughly disappointing. First time eating at five guys and I was frankly astonished by how expensive the food is but assumed it would be something special. It wasn’t. They got all three of our orders wrong. The bacon is disgusting, it’s like what I imagine eating a strip of burnt salt would be like. Once I’d scraped all the bacon out the burger was ok. The hot dog was also really weird, extremely tough and chewy, unlike any sausage Iv ever had before. The Cajun fries were quite nice but too spicy for my kids and the salted fries were so salty no one could eat them. Most expensive burger fries shake meal Iv ever bought and most of it went in the bin.

Visited 5 Guys today (23 Mar 2022) for a burger and fries. Nice and clean store, order taken politely. Burger and fries were ready 7 mins after order. Burger and fries cooked to perfection.!I did talk to Leo (support manager) and he acknowledged they had initial issues which have been addressed.Visit here, you will have a great burger.

Good burgers, probably one of the best fast food burgers you're going to get I'm the UK, pity about the price. For 4 burgers, 1 hot dog, 3 regular fries and 5 milkshakes, total came to about £82.But we knew this ahead of time so I was prepared for the sticker shock. The food was good, and the shakes tasty, extra fries are always a treat. Kids love it, but at this price maybe every couple of months rather than weekly.

Burger was really good, some chips didn't taste like they had been cooked. Milkshake had no real flavour and was disappointing. Had to wait 30mins for order.

What a huge disappointment. Heard so many good things about 5 guys that we had to try it. Placed order at the counter at 17:39. Got our food at 18:10. Two mediocre burgers with gloopy cheese slices, mostly stuck to the tin foil it’s wrapped in and they were only warm at best. Definitely not hot. The famed fries were also tepid in temperature and were anaemic and hard in the middle. Served with a biscoff milkshake which was a plain milkshake with biscuits crumbled into it…for over £5. My wife had a bottled beer but this was almost finished by the time we got our food. And all for the price of a decent meal elsewhere, about £35.We tried to speak to the staff about this but they all looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and carried on doing……not a lot really. I guess that’s to be expected when you leave a bunch of children trying to run a restaurant (I use the term very loosely).Suffice to say, we won’t be returning

Thought we would give it a try, Burgers excellent although the toppings were minimal. Chips average, and a milkshake at £5.25.come off it. Overall a great meal,but not for people on a limited budget.
