Happy Valley Fish and Chips in Basingstoke and Deane

The shop is clean and tidy the are very helpful the food is very good for the price access for disabled adults and parking 🅿️

Only place open to buy fish and chips. And they were lovely.

Honestly awful. Probably the worst burger and chips I've ever eaten. Chips were obviously re cooked and greasy as hell. The burger was tiny and deep-fried. No salad option and didn't come with any sauce. I threw most of it away tbh

Mixed, wife's cod was fine, large cod was inedible (mushy fish and soggy batter), chips were hot but slightly under cooked. Room for improvement! Staff ever so slightly surly, but suspect thats because it was busy and they felt under pressure.

I'm sure they used to be a decent place to get some fish and chips. But unfortunately, I've noticed they've been serving rather soggy fish. Don't know about you but I prefer a nice crisp batter and fish which isn't complete mush. Rather disappointing to say the least.At least their chips are alright. Not amazing but a step up compared to the mushy, soggy and lacklustre battered fish.

Sorry, but the food was terrible. The chips were like rubber and of the pie was like a hockey puck. Even more weird, The three ladies working there were really odd. When I walked in I felt like I just disturbed them from watching their favourite movie in their living room. No hello no goodbye no and no Smalltalk. What do you want and get out basically. I shall not return.

Chips are normally pretty good. 3 star as they don't take card. Come on move with the times! Who carries cash these days.

Very poor. Leathery chips, bland greasy fish and saveloy so tough it cracked when biting.Avoid like the plague. Scratch that, catch the black death....it'll be more pleasant.
