Lovely pub in pretty village. Plenty of tables inside and in a nice garden area. The food was exceptional and very reasonably priced and the staff were helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back there and would recommend it.

Lovely food and very friendly. The garden looks big, but was closed to winter. Been there twice in the afternoon and always busy. Book before you turn up.

Excellent. Staff very obligingly accommodated myself and my friend who was on crutches at a suitable table. Food, braised steak, was absolutely delicious, and, as the driver of the day, the non alcoholic prosecco was great. Would highly recommend though might be best to book.

We enjoyed an exceptional evening meal which was truly enjoyable. Great to see how a country pub has used the lockdown to learn, improve and deliver fantastic quality with exceptional service in delightful surroundings. So thank you for the perfect dinner. Best as ever Cath and Tim

Travelled nearly an hour for lunch. Definitely worth the drive. We couldn't fault anything. The food was amazing. Good value for money. Service was lovely. Toilets nice and clean. Busy lunchtime. Great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. Looking forward to sitting in the garden when the weather is better

Quaint country pub with a warm friendly feeling and cosy country decor. Lovely starters and roast dinner was one of the best I’ve had but felt a little underwhelmed by the dessert (sticky toffee pudding) it was pleasant enough but just lacked the finesse of the first two meals. That’s my only niggle!

A really warm welcome, excellent food, drink and service. And a lovely atmosphere. What more could you ask for?! We certainly left fully satisfied and feeling like it was worth every penny.This was our first time at 'The Hodd' but we're already planning our next visit!Highly recommended!

WOW!!!Your staff were exemplary, engaged and motivated. Nothing was too much trouble. Their smiles contagious. For young adults, you would think they had been in the industry for decades. They all clearly enjoyed their work and were a pleasure to be waited on. It was very busy, but your team were SO attentive, built up excellent rapport with us at the table and ensured everything was spot on.To the kitchen team. Again, WOW!!! Everything was cooked to perfection. All our 8 meals came out fluidly and hot. The food was mouth watering, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The portion sizes just right.I honestly cannot express what a fantastic experience our table had. You guys are a little gem in the woods. Thank you!

Had a fabulous lunch here today, food was delicious. We were sat in the outdoor marquee and the set up makes you think you're indoors with attention to detail on lighting, decor and heating. Service was attentive and friendly and all in couldn't wish for a better experience.
