Not great. Sticky floor, sticky tables and too much noise.. Gave an extra star as the staff were trying their best.

·

Nice atmosphere, fairly priced drinks and food, friendly staff, a nice place to visit for a meal and drink with friends

This is a typical Wetherspoon had beer and food its exactly what I expected. I visited on a Tuesday evening when it wasnt very full. I was there one hour.

Truly disappointed in so many ways. Ordered a lunch with a coffee. The coffee machine was out of milk so had to get a member of staff to come fill it up. Unfortunately the staff were so rude and unfriendly when doing this. After standing for 20 minutes by the coffee machine to get our coffees we walked to our table to wait food to see our table had been taken because we were so long. We seen a member of staff walking around with our food and told them it was ours and found another table quickly. The staff was so grumpy and rude. The food it self was cold and highly disappointed. The chips were stone cold and the pinni had gone l hard and cold. To top it off I didn't even feel care in there because the staff wasn't wearing facemasks and wasn't asking customers to wear them too.

First time here, couldn't fault a thing. Ordered it all on the app and it all arrived quickly. Steak was cooked spot on

Classic young pub, very active and dynamic. Located in the centre of Basingstoke, is spacious and open. The outside area is a nice addition

Called in with my grand daughter for a bite to eat. Not been in here since way before COVID. The pub looks grubby, the table we sat at sticky to touch. The staff appeared very young, nothing wrong with that other than they seemed more interested in laughing and joking with each other than acknowledging me waiting or serving me. The food was OK, the guy who served us polite. Felt like the place has gone a bit downhill since I last visited. Not too sure I would go back to eat there again.

Food was good value, but no lemon slice for my fish and chips (no tartar source either). Chip sizes seem smaller than normal.

Katrina is a very hard working member of staff.Ordered the vegetarian breakfast, took a while to order and an age to be served. Food was good, but due to the length of time couldn't finish it.In fairness, I've never known so many eating at a 'Spoons. Not the largest Spoons, but not too bad. Some local history info on the walls.Toilets need some attention!

A bit course, thanks to a fair bit of loud and excessive swearing from some afternoon drinkers, but the pub was still good. It was clean and comfortable. Staff have tried hard to make this pub welcoming and visually attractive, lots of flowers and plants, nice patio and outside area at the back. Yes agree with other reviews, it was a bit raw... but at least it felt like a proper pub! Nice staff.
