Fantastic food and great service. Had a few moctails and a medium glass of wine. Despite my choi e of steak the meal didn't break the bank. Word of warning, there is a dress code

Great varied menu. Wide and open spaces with good gaps between most tables.Chairs and tables are good quality, comfortable. A semi formal experience which is nice. Some outdoor seating if you want it out the front.Service was leisurely.Buttermilk and blue burger was very tasty and very big.

It was great service, very friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and was very very good food. I had 3 courses and loved it all!

My last visit at M&C Basingstoke was really a remarkable experience. The food was great. I usually order my steak medium, and it is the first time my steak was cooked to perfection. It was truly value for money. The food quality and portions was good. The drinks (cocktails) - I am truly sad that I had limit myself to two because the cocktails were the bomb! Yes, the food and drinks were good, the environment was good but its the level of service that wowed me. The staff were welcoming upon entry, they were polite, well groomed, food came on time. The server was patient and he gave us great advise and improved my knowledge on steak. I would highly recommend visiting MC Basingstoke.

Best steak I've had in UK. Staff was sooooo lovely really made the meal. Knowledge was on point and explained why certain steaks needed to be medium etc. Really accomidatting for my 2 year old son. The menu was fantastic for them, not just a silly kiddies menu or an afterthought.Steak came with an array of accompaniments and didn't really need to get extra sides. Of course we did but delicious all round. The desserts were to die for! The meringue look absolutely stunning.Really recommend this place. Will be coming again. Ring that bell for the chef!! Love this place. It has the best steak nearest to where I live. My favourite is the ribeye steak which you could never go wrong plus Tiramisu for dessert. This is my go to place when I am craving for steak. Nice place to celebrate post valentines date with hubby.

We are always given a warm welcome here. Jose and Lenka are always so friendly and look after us so well. They give perfect recommendations on wine and also help us decide on what to eat. They are always so happy, and to be somewhere like this where the food is amazing, and the staff clearly enjoy their jobs it's somewhere we will return regularly. So happy miller and carter came in and resurrected such a fantastic building that needed some TLC.Place look great now and the food is fantastic.We've been several times now and recently had the butcher's block as a treat to try many of the different cuts and it was brilliant. Loads of steak and a half rack of ribs to share with the usual accompaniments. Couldn't recommend it more and the 50day aged fillets are perfect.Your only problem going here is it will ruin steaks anywhere else for you. This is how you cook steaks and how you do service too.Can't wait to go again.

Went there on the way to New Forest from London. Perfectly half way.The portion is huge. Got 12 oz ribeye which came with chips, cabbage and a fried onion thing, and it was too much for me. I would prefer they offer a 8 oz version.Got it in medium but I think it’s not very juicy compared to ones I had in Ealing Broadway. Maybe just personal taste.Their Mac and cheese was not bad too. Very cheesy and creamy. My 1 year baby loved it.we love the restaurant in the general.The service was great and it’s easy to park and family friendly.

Great meal but greater staff.Had a sharing meal at a medium and you could taste the flavour to the very end of every bite.The food was pretty good but the waiting staff were far better. All of the staff were very nice and friendly, even struck a few conversations.The only issue was exiting the car park, there's a long strip where only a single car can fit and just before that there's a tight turn with bushes blocking the vision.
