Very disappointed with my breakfast. Poached eggs were hard boiled.

Had their smallMeal of fish and chips last Saturday 29th. The only downside of the meal was that there was a puddle of oil on the plate underneath the fish where whoever cooked the dish did not drain off the oil before serving. It was placed on grease proof paper but this did not prevent the oil soaking through that and forming a hole. Many tables were not cleared indicative of the lack of staff. To be honest the quality of the food in the cafe is not usually the issue (apart from sometimes the length of time it takes to come out of the kitchen) but the lack of staff is a massive issue.Only one poor bloke clearing the tables too.

I like the rejuvenated menu and it all looks a bit sleeker. Unfortunately price has gone up without food quality improving enough to reflect that. But the staff are all lovely so I'm keeping it at 4 stars not 3!

Hideous Service, You cannot even speak to someone to order a breakfast. Told to use their computer to order food and cannot edit your breakfast only remove items not add. Staff give Zero care what so ever to the service. possibly the WORST place ever to get food. i walked out and did not eat here. if i could give 0 stars i would have. avoid at all costs.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. There is a clear shortage of staff and a computer error meant staff did not know which table ordered which meal. Was also told that somehow scrambled eggs weren't available but fried and poached were (?) 🤔 Waited over an hour only to be told that the food had already been brought out (and given to the wrong people) and our order was no longer in the kitchen. Don't waste your time here, not even if it is half price on everything. Got a refund and scrammed. That's an hour of our time we'll never get back...

Enjoyed the breakfast, although the food could have been hotter.Tables slow to be cleared

Food is average but its expected for the prices. Friendly and efficient service from staff. Love that they have a little kids play area for under 6s. But it can all be so much better if a little time went into revamping the menu and kids area. If it did have a better kids area I would actually go there more often and have a coffee and something to eat while the kids played.

It's cheap and convenient. This one is notorious for being slow and often run out of the items that you may want, food is very much hit and miss, school dinner quality. However refillable hot drinks and computer based ordering are a nice touch. Kids meals often free after 3 and they do a lot of deals, so worth going especially for larger families.

Good inexpensive food. Easy disabled access. Could do with an extra hot food ordering screen. Only one person at a time can order and it takes a while to navigate the screen so a queue builds up at lunchtime.

I usually find small cafes that try to boost their ratings within their sector use additional tools to portray consideration, such as baby food warming stations with a microwave and bottle warmer. Unfortunately for this Basingstoke cafe at Morrisons, it actually needs to be working for customers to use! I checked the power switch too before you try to say it was turned off.Luckily I had a flask of hot water with me but others would not and potentially would not be able to feed their babies. We also had cold chips, mushrooms and toast, this was not even at a peak time of ordering.Staff were friendly when delivering food to the table and the ordering touch screen is a great upgrade for Morrisons to reduce cueing time.
