Great food. Always quick bit not worryingly quick. The duck the pineapple dish was perfect cooked and very tasty.The pancake roll are always very good.Shame its cash only as in a cold night the walk to a cashpoint is not wanted, but this does not stop us.

Read the comments. I've been here too and delivery is absolutely s**t. People saying the food is brilliant,,,, it's ok-good... But ordering it for delivery is shocking.... If you try star city, just collect it, seirously, don't go through all the BS I had to along with many others. Expect delayed delivery times with cold and missing food. And then they offer you 10% off your next meal when the items they've missed which were paid for cost more than 10% of the previous meal.....

This is a superb Chinese TA. Great food and flavours. The menu is the normal Chinese TA menu but the food is really good and fresh. Have never been to or needed to go anywhere else, give them a try!

I phoned to order food for a collection, I collected my food after a 30 minute wait, when I got home I discovered 2 items of my order were totally wrong. I phoned up to complain and said I am on my to collect the correct items and I I do not expect another long wait. When I arrived I discovered my food wasn't ready and the "cooks" hadn't even started to prepare it. I explained to the girl on the counter that I have food at home going cold whilst I am waiting for the rest of my order to be cooked......she couldn't care less. After this appalling service I saddened to say the whole meal was foul, I will never return to New City Chinese takeaway again and I advise people to avoid this place.

Awful, our food didn’t turn up, we called several times to be told it was being cooked. Finally told at 9:20 it was on its way, ok it was New Years Eve but would have appreciated honesty in that they were unable to fulfill our order. Incidentally KFC managed to deliver food to us. Will never use again and make sure that I pass onto as many people as possible, unfortunately had to give 1 star to be able to post, they don’t deserve any!

Best takeaway we've had in Basingstoke. I've tried a few in the local area and this has topped all of them. This will be our new favourite and I wouldn't hesitate recommending to friends. Easy ordering online too!

Absolutely terrible. Ordered online at 5.45pm. Waited till 7.30pm to ring and ask where are food was. Got told the driver had just left. Waited till 8pm still no sign. Tried to ring a few times and managed to get through at 8.05pm. Was told driver was still out I asked them to phone driver and ring me back. Rung a final time at 8.15pm. The woman spoke to the driver, she was talking to him as I was on the phone. So told them that we no longer wanted our food. I was given an apology but sadly no dinner. Absolute shambles of a place. I would recommend avoiding this establishment.

Ordered online and was told 90 minuets, after 2 hours rang and was told it had just left and would be with us shortly , 20 minutes later still no Chinese , rang again and asked to hold one Minuet while she looks and put the phone down. Range back a 3rd time and was told they where not able to find the order at all the staff where rude over the phone! When it turned up the delivery driver told us he had only just picked this up, proving the people on the phone where lying. Food was standard and not very warm had to haggle with the deliver driver for a discountWill not be using this place again and would never recommend this to anyoneWhat a disgrace of a takeaway
