Brilliant vibe. Not too busy. Great beer and pickled eggs! Yum. Shame wi-fi was out 😥

Quiet, genuine pub. Friendly staff. The landlord has worked hard to make this a good place to spend time. He has succeeded. Visit it to rediscover what a pub should be.

Has a jukebox and pool table and a selection of drinks.. they sell Inches cider which is my fav so not a bad pub. Also show sports all round the pub. U can also buy freshly made in house rolls/sandwiches at the bar.

A great local pub with an excellent selection of ales. Occasional live music, jam sessions, selection of games, decent sarnies & hot dogs weekends and free pool night on Wednesdays. A breath of fresh air in town and well worth the visit.

Great real ale pub now with regular live music, well worth a visit CAMRA members discount for the ale drinkers.

Great local pub with three well kept ales from an ever changing range (also has two Beavertown craft beers on keg). Has a usual line up of lagers, cider and wine and premium quality spirits. Very friendly atmosphere. Live bands are great, as are the acoustic folky music night and Jam night coming soon! Big TVs for sport, plus a couple of quiet booths which also have TVs. Very good all round pub!

Recently reopened under new management, the New Inn now seems to be attracting a wider clientele after (apparently) dropping its 'gay' connections. The addition of some decent real ales also helps. When last I was there two Rebellion beers from Marlow Brewery were on offer and both were excellent. The ubiquitous Doombar, the only offering under the last management, has been dropped. 😆Reviews posted during an earlier tenure mention food. Early days yet but there is no food available presently. (This review posted mid-September).Definitely a pub to include on any crawl of the town's decent real ale venues, of which there are very few.

This pub is by far the best in Basingstoke. There's not only a pool table but also a dart board and jukebox. The locals are lovely and as are the staff. There's a wide range of alcohol and food on weekends. Everytime I have been to this pub I've had a wonderful time and would highly recommend. There is also TVs to watch sports and a beer garden. All in all a brilliant pub with brilliant people, would highly recommend.
