New Standard Tandoori in Basingstoke and Deane

I've been ordering regularly from New Standard Tandoori since I moved here from London, 13 years ago.The food is absolutely delicious.My partner DJ's everywhere and we really love curries, so we get to try alot of tandoori's across the UK but genuinely, the Dragon Paneer from NST is my favourite ever (thank me later)!! Yummy ❤️ Lovely authentic food and a lovely family business.Will always recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The food here was 5* but the last few times we've ordered the food has down hill and it's really noticeable. All the food is underseasoned and underwhelming compared to before , bring back the spices and I will override the rating, thanks much love

Second time of ordering, 10/10 both times, food was amazing and delivered on time using the online portal..............keep up the great food and service.

Found on Google Maps and ordered through Just Eat (will go direct next time!) Lamb ratio in Keema Aloo Chana was a little low, about 25% of the box, as it had a lot of potato. Aloo Gobi also was 3/4 potato over the cauliflower. Onion Bhaji a bit soggy in oil.That said — the food is quite good; flavour is all there, meat quality is good, portion sizes are perfect, well priced, and ready timely for collection on New Years Eve. Collected very easily from a friendly chap at the till. We will be back and try a few other things on the menu. Happy new year!

Very disappointed . Ordered online delivery and the food was left on my doorstep. No one knocked or rang the bell . My food was cold by the time I found it outside 😑

Amazing curry, moved away from the area and still travel the 30 minutes to this curry place. Cannot find another as good!!

The meal was nice and they tailored it for my vegan preference. Unfortunately I was given meat samosas which I had the misfortune to bite into. Just a shout out to the vegan community, be mindful of what comes in your meal. They said they'd call back after I complained but guess what, they didn't. Shame cause the foods good but, I wouldn't order from them again.

What ever clock they got they need some new batteries I've waited 2hours and 30 minutes last time I ordered and they forgot some food this time I ordered food at 3:30 in the afternoon so it wont be late this time and I'm still waiting over 2hours again my god please learn too tell the time would you safe too say I wont be back anymore

We have seen in the last few years this place deteriorate. We had a take away the other week, which could almost have been bought from a shop & re-heated. I ordered a Lamb Dhansak & the lamb was more fat then meat & there was not a single visible lentil, it’s consistency was similar to a sweet & spicy soup with fatty floating pieces. There are much better Indian Restaurants in the area, which I suggest you visit & compared for yourselves.

Food is meh! Customer service is even worse.Would give zero stars if possible... Told 30 minute wait, timed our other meals with this and was left waiting another 35 minutes for them to bring out the food.During this time they continued to take orders and quote a 20 min collection time while ignoring the customers in the store waiting for food that was contently just coming or being packed.Asked to see the manager to explain we now had other cold food because of this delay and they simply didn't care. Great customer service from them, and I was a regular customer.Not anymore! I advise anyone ordering from here to go else where or leave plenty of time.
