Absolutely DisgustingNever going here again, 1730hrs I swear they heat up the afternoons food. I could have used my pie as a demolition ball it was that hard, chips were all dry and over cooked which tells me they are left over from the lunchtime. Very disapionted as they are so local. They need to be shut down now before they kill someone with there so called food.

I think this place is just here to troll us.Seriously avoid this place if you value you stomach. If you want to know how not to talk to customers come here and just order small chips, during the wait you'll get all the shocks you'll need.Poor hygiene, poor attitude, poor service, poor food handling.Just walk straight past this place

We are not from the area and wanted a takeaway after a long day catching up with family. We found the service helpful and friendly and the preparation quick.On returning to our accommodation we took a quick sample of the food and I was amazed by the best chips I’ve had in years. Between us we tried egg fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls, special fried rice and pie and chips. Not exactly gourmet but well cooked, great taste and a delight for 3 very hungry diners.Thanks team if we are ever back in the area we will call in again.On

OK, I don't usually write reviews. Sometimes you buy food from some places and it's not to your taste, you eat and move on, and just decide not to eat there again.In this instance however, what I got was completely inedible. I threw it away. It was so foul tasting, even thinking about it makes me gag. And I grew up in Oakridge, my gag reflex is fairly decent.I appreciate this place has never been considered gourmet. I know it can be hit and miss at times. While I haven't lived in the area for a while, I still grew up round the corner from the place and have eaten here more times than can count. But I've never been unable to eat it. It tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in months, and it overpowered the food.I wasn't expecting it to be spectacular, but for £15 I expect it to be edible.It's a shame to say, I'd never buy food from here again.

My daughter, myself and grandchildren decided on fish and chips and the last time we bought fish and chips from oak ridge which was about 3 months ago the food was ok (edible anyway). I lived on oak ridge for many years and have seen staff come and go. But the demeanour of the member of staff serving tonight was intimidating to say the least and because she could not hear what was being ordered she shouted “can you speak up please “. We didn’t have fish on this occasion, in fact I wish we didn’t have anything at all. It was stone cold, the chips were not even freshly cooked, they tasted like they had been there since the afternoon opening and mainly consisted of the little “ends” of chips that no one wants to eat. It was disgusting, nearly all of it got thrown away. £11.30 was paid for that trashy food and this is one family who will never frequent oak ridge fish and chip shop ever again!!!!!!

Disappointed with the roasted duck meat really it shouldn’t be made this way-what I was expecting and what I got really was disappointed with the mash duck meat and the service was bad it’s an insult for Chinese roasted duck it looks like mash roasted duck to me at least since I fancy Chinese food and roasted duck but it looks I will never buy from this shop again and suggest not buy from this shop as well!!!even the price for this not even worth it highly regretful it’s not roasted it’s deep fried ones !!!it’s completely rubbish and worst roasted duck I have ever eaten in my entire life ....Please serve food how it supposed to be and should look like or what is supposed to be many thanks !!!!!!!!!

Really nice fish n chips and at a reasonable price too. £3.50 for a decent size piece of battered cod. No car park outside. If driving you would have to park your car on the road outside. No sit down area so take away only. Would definitely come back here if I’m ever in Basingstoke!

I really enjoy the food from this takeaway and the staff are friendly, I can't fault it.
