Sasso's in Basingstoke and Deane

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly service. We've visited several times, when staying with friends. We visited on their last day, before change of ownership. Not sure if it's going to remain as an Italian restaurant.

I am afraid dissapointed this time,needs to update their look and menu. They are a long going family run restaurant and need to keep up to date with what is going on in the restaurant business. They are popular as it was so busy when we booked before Christmas. Their reception area though has no warm welcoming feeling and needs to be an area where you can wait for you table comfortably as we had to wait a while.Food was good but a long wait for orders and food. I hope if I go again they may have done a refurbishment and make their menu more interesting.

The best Italian restaurant in the area, perfect for a romantic meal or small groups.Seasonal specials are always on point and the menu caters for both meat lovers and veggies. Main meals come with a side of seasonal vegetables by default.

The service here really is what makes the place. There is a very personal touch to it. The food is well presented and tasty. I visit here for special occasions and am never disappointed.
