The Crown at Old Basing in Basingstoke and Deane

Popped in for a snack and a couple of pints and had the hummus with flatbread and curried chicken skewers - incredible food and good beer selection. Would recommend The Crown.

absolutely a great pub with awesome new owners and chef. everyone is fun and so lovely! doesn't matter on the occasion, no matter what these guys will be able to make it happen and so special!

Not the best pub in the village but still decent. Great burgers. Service was a bit slow, had to go up to the bar for bill and left with our empty plates still on table. It wasn't busy either. Will happily return in hopes that service is a bit quicker.

Just amazing food! My leg of lamb was magnificent-size and taste! My friend had game pie. Definitely worth the detour from Tondu to LHR. Staff extremely friendly.

I would like to thank everyone at The Bolton Arms for their hospitality this afternoon. We were a group of about 20 celebrating my wifes 60th birthday. The food had been pre-ordered . Everybody had a place set for them with their name and food choice printed on them. Drink orders were taken quickly and brought to the table. The starters arrived a short while after. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. Although the red snapper was nice , the portion size was very small. A lot of us chose the lamb rump which I thought was excellent. The potatoes and accompanying veg were equally good. The pudding was also very nice and finished off a great time with family and friends. I would definitely recommend The Bolton Arms.

Cheesy chips and a pint. Lovely cheese and chips for £4. A great pint of otter was very welcome after walking footpaths around old basing house.

Had lunch today 11/02/2022 for four of us and our dog, the food was very good with good sized portion's and I can personally recommend the Fish & Chips the Landlord was extremly pleasant and accommodating every one of us enjoyedour meals. Highly recommend the Crown

Fantastic Sunday lunch two Sundays in a row. Superb value, great service, lots of vegetables and perfect roasties all served with a massive jug of gravy! Highly recommend!

Due to covid restrictions dining is outside. Plenty of space and nice sunny garden. Hand sanitizers are available. Food was okay, but the battered fish was not fully fried. Free parking at the front and at the back.
