Good pub..Nice beer food looks good ...did used to have a bike night but unsure whether it still on

We dropped in while walking with no expectations. This is amazing - a gastropub with a genuine welcome, covered seating outdoors, lovely staff, and a compact menu with surprising and interesting choices. I loved the mustroom arancini.

Met friends here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Friendly, efficient staff and good choice on the menu, all reasonably priced. Food delicious! All well presented and pleasant surroundings. Would recommend.

Enjoyed a delicious meal at The Crown for my Dad’s Birthday.The menu featured a selection of pub classics, done extremely well (specifically a delicious sticky toffee pudding), and the service was attentive and friendly.Worth a trip this lovely pub and beautiful village.

Whilst the pub itself is clean and tidy and the food and drink ok, the attitude of the staff is disgusting. On one particular day, a close friends funeral wake was held there. The extortionate price for a buffet £1000+ £500 just to hold the wake was quite frankly appalling. Then to cap it a very close friend was not allowed to attend because the landlady has a personal issue. On this one occasion would it really have been too much to put this aside ?

Great lunch with excellent friendly service. Nice menu with plenty of choices and everything done to a high standard. The pie was amazing and sticky toffee pudding was a dream. All of us were happy from age 7 to 87. Highly recommended!

First visit despite having lived in the area for 10 years. Excellent food, extensive range of beers and friendly service despite running 10 minutes late for our booking. Outstanding dining experience. We will be back.

The Crown pub has a clean and classy atmosphere. Staff are friendly and very obliging when I asked for a few changes in the menu to suit my palate.Dog friendly and situated perfectly in the heart of the village of Kingsclere. All courses were presented beautifully. The pork belly with sprinkles of crackling served with shallots ,kale and a burnt apple sauce Ju was absolutely mouth watering. The treacle pudding traditionally served with custard was a large portion and tasted delicious. I highly recommend the food, staff. Truly the jewel in Kingsclere and aptly named The Crown. So good...
