The Four Horseshoes in Basingstoke and Deane

Very few people in on a Saturday evening so we thought we'd have a quick service. Waited for our meal for ages. In the end had to ask what the delay was. The pub was basically run by three youngsters who were just chatting away and not interested in customers. Finally got our food. Pad Thai was lacking any taste and this is quite a simple dish (no peanuts, lime etc usual bits).Will not be going back to this pub. Ever again.

On a previous visit to The Four Horseshoes we were impressed with the quality and presentaion of the food but on this occasion we were disappointed. I visited wth my family for my dads birthday, we were seated and ordered quite quickly, service from the waiting staff was good but we waited far too long for our food to arrive. I had ordered steak, when it arrived, both the mushrooms and the sauce that were served along side the steak were cold and the presentation of the food was poor. No one came to check if the food was ok until after we had finished eating. A shame that it could be so different from our previous visit.

Very good local and not only pub restaurant. I enjoyed many nights out. Inside and outside offers very good food and drinks. It provides various entertainment ranging between boardgames, sports events on a projector, music and friendly personnel. Well located just outside a city centre and the main road it can be reached easily from Basingstoke, Reading and the surrounding areas. An option is also public transportation via bus, but during the day only. Definitely suggested. I'd like to go back and have some fun.

The Thai food in the pub is amazing and the best we have had for a long time. It’s great to have such a good take away locally. It’s a shame that inside the pub the lighting is not very conducive to a good atmosphere, especially in the back room. Well done chef👏

Had takeaway Thai food last night and it was absolutely fantastic. This pub is only 5 minutes from my front door and I have been meaning to give it a try for ages, and now it will become a regular 'go to'.The Thai food is very authentic, except for being toned down on the heat , as compared to the same dishes served in Thailand. I have absolutely no issue with this as it makes the food enjoyable to people who don't have a good tolerance for spice, and you can ask then to increase the heat if you want that authentic Thai spice.What makes the Thai food here exceptional is the use of fresh Thai herbs, and an understanding of the balance of flavors that make authentic Thai food so wonderful.We will certainly be going back for more, often!

Not the greatest place I have eaten. Food was edible but funny thing is I was with our friend who will literally eat anything but did struggle here to eat his Sunday roast ;my husband dinner never turned up and mine, well let's say I won't be rushing back. shame nice location. Definitely won't go back and will not recommend

This is a great pub. The Sunday roasts, the massaman curry and the panang curry were excellent and the service was exceptional; every member of staff treated us so kindly, they were all very attentive and helpful. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Banging. We had the tempura prawns to start. I had the steak and ale pie and my Mrs had the katsu curry. Both meals were very filling

Great food and service . Yorkshire puddings could have been a bit better, tasted a little over done

Nicest fish and chips I've had for ages. Very friendly and great for lunch.
