Wow! What a gem! We visited on a bit of a whim, looking for somewhere for a nice Sunday dinner. The pub is beautiful and cosy and the experience matched it perfectly. The team were very friendly and attentive. I've travelled all over the world and this was probably the best meal I've had - fresh, flavourful, well thought out but far from complicated. You can instantly tell from the presentation and smell that the chef knows his trade and is passionate and this is only confirmed by the taste experience. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely country pub feel, car park full, and most tables booked excellent for a Tuesday night! Attentive staff, good service, felt £256-00 a little over the top for4,it did include drinks, starters, main, and desert, and bottle of house red.Would I recommend? Probably! Great tasting food with engaging staff and a friend-of-the-family atmosphere. The venison was so tender and flavoursome, and a lovely dish to follow the wild boar gnocchi which was gobbled up by all. Definitely worth going back to!

Lovely cosy pub with a fireplace. The waitress was amazing - she was very friendly, attentive and gave us a lovely experience! Menu is only on the chalkboards as it changes regularly. Food was good but not quite sure it was worth the expensive price tag. Mains alone were about £30 each.

Delicious seasonal birthday dinner passionately served by the proprietor. Talented flexibility from the kitchen for plant based guests, and not kept waiting during peak midweek service. Excellent.

What a wonderful pub! A traditional British pub, with amazing food and atmosphere. Phil the landlord is a great host very friendly and creates a great space for you to relax and have a few drinks.The food is delicious. One of the best scotch eggs I've ever had. The game was excellent and the pudding and ice cream all home made. Can't recommend enough.

What a Gem! Went for a walk and stumbled across this little beauty! Staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the food and drinks they serve. The food... well just delightfully delicious! We had a grouse starter which was beautiful. For mains the steak gnocchi and duck sausages both were lovely dishes. Definitely will be returning to this gorgeous restaurant and would advise if you fancy something scrumdidliumptious head over there. Also the decor is a classy mix of old wooden beams and mood lighting. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
