Manageress was nice. Other staff lacking. Two main beers had run out the girl serving apologised for fresh barrels not being replaced although she had asked?!!! Food average, but prices were good. We eat out regularly and with some tweaks here and there it could be very good. Just not yet.

Food was amazing, loved the atmosphere, and Sam & Georgie were the nicest servers - so friendly and accommodating, we loved them. This was our first visit and already planning when we can next come by. (:

My parents managed this fabulous Public House many years ago, and it was therefore the place I called home. So it holds precious memories. This place also has a huge secret behind it, that I was very lucky to have been a party to. I hope to revisit one day soon

An hours wait is just unacceptable and what reputable pub serves a beef roast dinner but has run out of horse radish sauce? The all important roast potatoes were cooked to high to quick and were a bit like bullets. Otherwise the roast was attractively presented and plentiful. But value for money? Sadly I was not feeling it! 😑

Really poor service for lunch today! Would be 1 star but the food when it finally turned up was better than expected. Very full for lunch at 1.30pm, including people outside on the patio. Waitress in dirty facemask hanging underneath her nose told us the food would be 30 mins to arrive. Starters arrived quicker than that but then we waited ages and ages for the mains. When we got well past our tolerance I chased them & the waitress said the people on the patio get served first, she put our mains order in only once we finished our starters, there were only 2 people working in the kitchen and the mains would be ANOTHER 20 mins. Just as we were about to walk out the mains did arrive just before 3pm. Will never go there again.

I am writing on google as I posted on their Facebook page on the 4th December and they haven’t published it!We went here last night for a birthday and I can honestly say I have never complained when I’ve been out before!!Where do I start? We orders 4 chicken burgers , a tiger prawn spag, a kids cheese/bacon burg, a kids Goujons and a steak and tanglefoot pie plus extras. This came to over £100. There was a big party sat near us who was always waiting for there food and food came out. The food that was meant to be ours was sent to their table and placed down as we obviously order the same food. They starting eating the chips (we could see) it was when the kids meals came out they realised it wasn’t their order as they had no kids. The cheese/bacon burger was actually dropped over a ladies lap and put back on the plate ( we watched!) They then picked up the plates and came and gave them to us!!! Which we said no we are not eating them! (Some plates had already been eaten off and the kids meal was dropped!!) so the waitress called the manager and she came, she said she will get the kitchen to make all 8 meals fresh. Perfect and quite rightly so! Less then 5 minutes later we have 8 fresh meals!!!!! The waitress couldn’t stress enough has hot the plates were!!! The plates are hot but the prawn spaghetti was stone cold! She took the plate and said “No you feel that plate it’s boiling”! Well the food is freezing! So guess what they heated it in the microwave!! So all 8 meals freshly cooked in under 5 minutes!!! NO we had the same food that was served to another table, that they had started eating, a meal that was dropped and dished back up to my child! So I said to the waitress no way! She assure me it had all been put in the bin. I could not stomach my food at all. So we sat there and just waited for someone to come back over. 40 minutes we waited for our plates to be cleared!!!! Yes some of us elate the food as we had unfortunately already paid at the bar! The waitress came 40 minutes later and I asked for the manager back. I explained to her again about the 8 fresh meals coming out in 5 minutes and she had no words!! No words because she knew the food we had was the same food!! She said she had no idea what was going on in that kitchen tonight!! Absolutely disgusting!! We are in a pandemic too and they are taken extra measures…. Not in the Queens college arms they’re not!The table that previously had our food also took their food back for what ever reason so not a bad night for just us!!!Don’t take cash though due to the pandemic 👍🏻I definitely do not recommend here. May have just been an off night but it was damn right disgusting how they treated us !!!!

Mid December 2021.. Stopped in for a liquid lunch to help out our Pub Industry during these bad times. Friendly staff, cosy bar and nice looking restaurant. Enjoyed a nice pint of "Red Roaster - Winter Ale" and some White Bait....!!

Great pub, lovely food, really friendly staff. Had a working lunch here today and had a very pleasant experience. Staff were really accommodating and their service was excellent. Food was really good. Multiple fish and chips, and sandwich combos. All very tasty and great portion size. Stayed for a couple of hours after in the bar to continue working and was made to feel very welcome doing so. Cannot thank you enough for a very enjoyable Friday afternoon at work.

Came here with friends yesterday for Sunday lunch. The COVID-19 procedures were all very clear and the staff were very helpful/knowledgable. Everywhere was immaculately clean and they clearly have this down to a T.Lunch was wonderful - plenty of meat, unlimited Yorkshire puddings and loads of veg too. We all agreed the food was delicious!Ordering for the whole menu (both food and drinks) was preferred through their secure website. This was quick ans easy and they take Apple Pay online so was definitely secure. Whatever we ordered was brought out within a couple of minutes - again, well rehearsed and clearly how they work routinely now.We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again and can’t wait to try out other menu items! Thanks for a wonderful time.
