Brilliant customer service.All staff were lovely today! Very helpful and very kind.Food was lovely.Lots of little perks.All in all great place for a family dinner!

First time I been there since a few years. The food was great and very well presented. Staff were polite too. Just the waiting time was soooo long. If was busy could understand but place was not exaclty overcrowded.

Such bad wait times. Poor service, people here after us got served before us. We were never invited up for salad despite asking how it would work and being right by a servers station. Poor food as well. It only got worse as it went a long, desserts were melted and poor. The server we had basically forgot he was serving us and we had to ask him to do his job at points. It’s like we were forgotten about. I never really complain because I don’t like too but this was bad.

The worst Harvester Restaurant I have ever been to.The Stag and Hounds is very tired inside and in desperate need of a refurb throughout.Last night I took my partner there for his birthday.We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks after asking the waitress 3 times for them and when they did arrive the Stella was flat. The bar man's excuse for this was 'the infusion in the glass'!The landlords clearly have no care fir customer service as after 50 minutes we walked out and were only then told that there was over an hour wait for food and that they can't cope with on line bookings . Seriously never will I go here again and they ruined my partners birthday.Why have they not done any thing to improve the customer service whilst in COVID lockdown? or is it just a case of they don't care?As per reply, I have reached out and emailed them but no response says it all doesn't it?

Food is dull as dishwater. Yet cost double what it did a few years ago. Need extra salt / sauce just to make the food pallitable.Had to redo the bill 3 times as the price wasn't correct.Asked for water but never brought anyTook ages for waiter to get bill. Asked other staff but they just ignored me.Honestly without the discount / offers they have sometimes, your far better off going to weathersoons. It's cheaper and tastes far better. I don't know how harvester is getting it wrong after all this time being in business.

Went for a family Christmas get together its in the middle of us both! The staff were great! So friendly happy to help with any questions! Really helpful! The food was great! We were turned down from another place as we were to big a group (10 of us and a baby) but im glad now! Had a wonderful day!

We were staying in a Hotel in Basingstoke, and not knowing the area, and having passed the premises earlier. We gave it a visit. Really friendly staff & the normal fare offered by a Harvester.The visit to the salad bar, pretty standard.The wife had grilled chicken with jacket potatoes, green vegetables & gravy. She said the gravy was really nice.I had the ultimate mixed grill ,- no lie there then. Steak,ribs, gammon steak, chicken, sausages, black pudding, mushrooms, fried eggs, peas & chips. All cooked deliciously.A total meat feast.Really friendly & helpful staff.An enjoyable start to the weekend.Plus we got diesel from the Fuel station opposite- perfect.

Booking was easy, location and parking was easy, server was friendly but due to covid 19 I feel people are half heartedly trying to keep safe. The server gets your salad for you but then hands you the tray to take back to your seat, servers bring your drink over but you can refill on the machine yourself so still touching where others have, people are sat next to eachother with no dividers, no masks are being used.I'm not ignorant, I know rules are changing and things are slowly getting to a new normal but it just baffled me.Other than that the food was great, the portion sizes are big and the cost is decent. Would return, thank you

Dont like the food here anymore just tastes prcissed and covered in salt and sauce to try hide it... you cant help yourself to salad bar anymore due to covid etc..i think its gone right downhill in my personal opinion however you do get big portions
